We had a Lovely home cooked meal nothing was too much trouble even though it was very busy with a party , would definitely recommend great value for money.

Fantastic pub with lots of charm, a small local place that's dog friendly and great atmosphere- would 100% be my local if I lived closer but always a good time there

Really nice, cosy, historical pub, with a lovely fire and lots of little rooms. Food was great... tasty, well priced and good produce. I had the 'smaller' mixed grill with mushroom sauce, with the steak cooked as ordered. Heavenly! Service wasn't particularly quick, but then it was a lunchtime close to Christmas and we weren't in a hurry. To use a Brisolian phrase... gert lush!

A great inn with loads of history, the original parts of the building go back to the 1400s. A friendly pub with a very helpful and hospitable landlord. A good selection of beers, and a fantastic full English breakfast. Good location with some nice walks in the countryside around Long Ashton.

I cannot recommend this place enough if you need somewhere near the Clifton side of Bristol.

Needed a hotel last minute to run errands before a flight abroad and booked online for Friday night. Stayed in a lovely double room with a nearby shared bathroom.

We had a very minor issue and the lady that runs this place is lovely to deal with and dealt with it in a way I will never forget.

Thanks for having us!

Girlfriend and myself travelled here with a very last minute (24hr) booking online to run some quick morning errands in Bristol before flying on to a long break in Italy.

Booking in, we had a slight issue: no fault of 'Angel Inn', just a very simple one-off oversight with the online booking company we used. As a result, the boss went out of her way to ensure everything was resolved literally without any complaint from ourselves, just a friendly beer table conversation and went well beyond anything considered necessary in what was evidently an emotional and stressful time for her. The resolve was beyond expectation and we feel guilty accepting it.

It's a kindness we will not forget. We even forgot some trainers and had a call from her within minutes of checking out, literally as I was coming back through the door for them.

We travel to Bristol once a month or more and the 'Angel Inn' will be where we stay going forward, many times. The location is superb, the staff super-friendly, lovely old rustic pub, clean rooms, beautiful old building, nice locals. Most of all, however, the owner is an absolute superstar who I can only wish the very best for! Thank you many times over and we will see you again soon, you would likely remember us. Our condolences for your dog passing once more :( x

Very nice pub, few separate rooms, wonky walls and ceilings, outback toilets make it feel more like a proper pub. Best bit was the food, 3 huge sausages & homemade mash potatoes. Other 3 meals were also plenty big enough. Bar staff were friendly. Respond to emails in a very timely manner. Thank you.
