I have gone for many walks & trail runs in this park and it is excellent! You can also fish in it in certain areas but I have never seen anyone actually catch anything.

This park is so amazing that you would love to stay the whole day watching around nature. The dam with lake view in starting of journey towards the woods. Then it depends on how long you can go on your legs. Feels fresh in air, so clean. Lovely place to visit.
Family friendly, but you should come up with your eatery because you won't find any cafe restaurants of your choice.

This is a beautiful rainforest area flanking the Capilano River. There are many kilometres of walking trails to choose from - short or long! We did the Coho Loop (1 km, about 30 mins) alongside the river and part of the Pipeline trail heading down to the Suspension Bridge Park. The paths were clear with good signage. It seemed popular with locals for walking their dogs. We spotted a woodpecker up close, but no other birdlife.

A great pit stop / resting spot after visiting the Cleveland dam. Went during the weekday so it wasn’t as busy and was able to see lots of salmon running up the river. The facility is very clean, good layout and very informative. Good history on the importance of salmon and the BC Fishery. Lots of parking, wheelchair accessible and has a picnic area.

Nice place for a walk and easy hike with wooden bridges over the river.
We saw 3 otters playing in the river from one of the board walk view points.
Multiple parking spots. We happened to take the one near the damn. It's about 200 steps down to the trail from there.

These trails are no joke. We took the capilano crest trail. My mom couldn't make it up the 100s of steps at the end and I had to leave her at the fish hatchery, go get the car, and pick her up. All in all though, beautiful trails, and very very very cool salmon hatchery that is a must see operation

Beautiful park with lots of trails and good scenery along the way. Lots of big trees and near the water, so it’s nice and cool even on a hot summer afternoon.
