Every time that I visit Charlotte, I go to walk to that park, is very relaxing and for the hall family
Very clean and tidy area (husband is a Green Flag judge in the UK). The restrooms were clean as well. Lovely lake and walkway. An asset to the city - a compliment to the employees who get it to a good standard.
The park gardens always show signs of living botanicals, even in the colder weather. All life cycles through seasons! Right now the gardens are resting and regenerating, some underground network of many roots and seeds that will wait patiently through the winter for warm weather. Let's return in early spring to witness the explosion of life giving plants, trees and flowers!
I've been visiting Freedom Park since I was a child. It's actually our family's favorite park in Charlotte. There's a man-made lake with water sprinklers, a lengthy walkway, a lot of greenery, and picnic areas. There's bicycles you can rent and also a vendor truck that sells drinks, chips, cotton candy, etc. If you've never been, do check it out. You'll thank me later. 😁👍🏼

Freedom Park is a great place to visit! I love bringing my dog here to walk the trails. There are parks and playgrounds for kids, spaces to throw a football around, and lots of walking space. This is also a great place to bring visitors from out of town. The park is beautiful and always has lots of visitors. There are nearby tennis courts as well. I have never had an issue finding parking.
Great place to hang out and relax, there is a rental fee if you want to ride a bike. I like the ducks at the pond and I also enjoyed seeing the little stream nearby.
