Famous Toastery

Beautiful place 😍 Their food wasn't the greatest. It was just 3 people in the restaurant, including me. I guess because they were about to close within an hour. 🤷🏽‍♀️Either way, i pay for good quality food, or i could have saved my money and cooked breakfast at home. I will have to try them again to leave a detailed review

Matthew was awesome!!! He was so accommodating to our large Bachelorette party. Thank you Matthew we would definitely come back for your amazing service and the good food.

Matthew literally is the best ! Very fast & attentive ! Has great patience with my kid who was very indecisive! If you want 10/10 service ask for Matthew!

Matthew is literally the bee’s knees. My wife and I sat next to a large group yesterday that was giving him an extremely hard time and he handled the situation with absolute poise and equanimity. We overheard them speaking poorly about the service, but what they failed to realize is that while they were demanding all of his attention, he was having to divide what he had left to the rest of the restaurant; as it seemed he was alone. Our breakfast combos took a while, but when he delivered them, he did so with a smile and the food was delicious. My wife and I felt so bad for the guy, that we came back this morning to make sure he was still in good spirits and neither of us were surprised when he greeted us warmly and took fabulous care of us at the bar… although, he probably gave us one too many mimosas. Go see him and enjoy the food and drinks!

Arrived at the restaurant today (a Sunday) around 9:45 expecting it to be packed, but surprisingly, it wasn't. Was greeted upon entering & immediately seated. Our waitress was friendly & quick to greet us & take our order. The food was very good....my husband got the Famous Hash & I had the breakfast sandwich, both of which were very good. Portion sizes were huge. The reason for 4 overall stars is we had to wave someone down for a refill of our coffee which, in a breakfast restaurant, makes no sense. Someone should be walking around at all times taking care of that.

Very short staffed. Waited 5 minutes uses before seeing g anyone that worked here. Service was adequate, def no waiting as place was empty. Seems breakfast is their busy time, we were here around 11:30 A.M.
Food was quite good, but bill hit the table before the food. On the high side price wise. For a different experience, it was ok, not likely to be regulars. Parking was ok, but busy times could be challenging. Recommended for the food, but not much else.

Atmosphere: Famous Toastery of Dilworth recently renovated the inside of the restaurant. It went from being a diner vibe with a diner menu to a bougie vibe with a diner menu. The fancy chandeliers do not match the experience or the menu.

Food and Drink: I ordered the Creamsicle drink, and it was absolutely disgusting. The orange juice tasted extremely sour and I could not drink it. For brunch I ordered the western omelette. As you can see in the picture, it was overloaded with overcooked green peppers. In addition, the ham and cheese were not cooked at all.

Service: we sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. However, the restaurant was not even half full and she stated that we had to use plastic silverware because they didn’t have any more silverware.

Overall, I was not impressed and most likely will not return.
