So before coming to the fort I didn't really know a lot about it but the first thing that really greets you is this statue of Armistead who was the leader of the fort and was a hero during the war of indepence.

Its right out by the parking lot. I liked all the solar panels in the parking lot near this monument.

There is a monument of this General (Armistead) who led Fort McHenry during the war. His monument is outside of the fort grounds so you do not need to pay to see the monument or take a picture of it. Make sure you checkout the Fort though. It is worth a visit especially if you are a history buff!!
