Very scenic view of one long Island's premier Port of call!!
Residents only beach, parking is enforced. But you can hike there in about 60 minutes from downtown. The view to Connecticut is beautiful.
We were at East Beach this past Saturday to do some filming for part of an episode of a Fox TV series. I've been here before for filming in February 2016.Then,there was snow everywhere. Saturday you could see the beauty of this marvelous beach!The view is spectacular and the beach sparkles with stones of every type.I would love to come back and become a beachcomber, exploring it's many treasures.

What an amazing spot.
If you're just a beach-goer this is a 5 star spot.
As a Professional Photographer it would be a 5 star location if they had better hours.
Perfect for sunrise and sunset although they open too late and shove you out quickly right after sunset.
The police here are very very nice. They keep the place well in order and they're very informative.
