Adelaide Central Market Tour

Beautiful seafood stall inside. FAIR SEAFOOD.ovely staff, perfect food n its a family owned local buisness. They are fantastic people. Fresh seafood n great chefs. Yummy.

Our tour was an 'off train experience' on our Indian Pacific rail journey last month. We loved it. Bridie was able to provide some fascinating history about some of the market stallholders that go back generations with tasty sample treats along the way. Our market tour was well paced, fun and informative.

We had been through the night before to just take a quick look at the Central Markets and were curious about what could be found out about the markets. Wow, knocked over. Bronwyn, our guide, was informative, clear and concise, knowledgable and enthusiastic about all aspects of the markets. And there were some absolute gems to find out about the history and current state of the markets. Lots I would like to say, though I should leave that for the guides.
Well worth the look, you get samples, exercise and some insight to some wonderful history and beginnings of local businesses and the markets.

Was an Amazing Progressive Dinner Tour. Our guide Steph was just gorgeous.

This tour is expensive + was underwhelming. Booking for a solo traveller could not be done online (not sure why) and it took 5+ attempts before I received confirmation. The tour was $89 and you don’t get much for that. By comparison South Melbourne market charge $35 + includes a jute bag, a tea towel and we had an oyster, prawn, French cheese, pastries, nuts + fruit. Sadly, this tour needs to lift its game.

Wir haben die ADELAIDE CENTRAL MARKET CLASSIC DISCOVERY TOUR gebucht. Wir waren an diesem Tag nur zwei Paare, die an der Tour teilgenommen haben, sodass wir eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre hatten.

Der Guide hat uns interessante Einblicke in die Geschichte des Marktes und der verschiedenen Stände gegeben. Außerdem haben wir einige Kostproben erhalten, die wir sonst nicht unbedingt probiert hätten. Das ganze wurde wirklich liebevoll durchgeführt.

Morgens ist der Markt noch relativ ruhig. Später wird es etwas wuseliger. Bei einer größeren Gruppe könnten wir uns vorstellen, dass man dann nicht mehr alle Informationen des Guides ohne Probleme mitbekommt.

Very informative tour that makes me fall in love with central market after living in Adelaide for more than 15 years. Should have come to the tour long time ago!!! Cheryl is very knowledgeable and given us lots of insight regarding the history and highlights of the market and stalls.
