Knockout Renovation

Keith & his team did an amazing job at my townhouse in Manhattan. I trusted Keith with a full gut renovation and he did not disappoint. The kitchen & bathrooms came out amazing and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend him for any renovation needs!! A+++++

The blind leading the blind. Very inexperienced company. Stay FAR away, unless you want to micromanage the entire project yourself.
They manually manipulate the "remaining balance" and "payments less received" on Buildertrend (software used to manage finances) as it suits them. I have pictures of it changing almost daily - with or without payments/change orders being received. They then blame it on them "still learning" how to use the software, but it's been way over a year since they started using it. They are extremely sneaky and desperate at the moment (we had to pay for work in advance that hadn't even been completed yet just to get the electrician in because Knockout didn't have any money). They also use large deposits made on products on things other than what they legally tell you it is going towards. Do NOT make large deposits in advance - they will NOT have the money you paid them when the time comes and will need you to make payments toward other invoices before they can even order it. That has happened to us more than once.
Don't trust Keith, the owner. Again, either he's blind or just outright untrustworthy. Either way - it's a roadblock to what should be a great experience renovating your space.

We were in good hands with Knockout all the way. From design to finish, they took care of every detail and communicated well. They gave us a firm budget and were careful to let us know how any changes in plan affected the price. Our project manager gave us beautiful plans and helped with all the product choices. He watched over every detail and made sure that our home was perfect at the end of the project. Our only complaint was that the project took longer than estimated. But considering the supply chain problems during 2022, we understood the difficulties.

We would definitely use Knockout again, and recommend them to others in our price range.

Knockout Renovation had remodeled my bathroom a few years ago & I am reusing them for another project in the near future. They are a one stop shop! It was the easiest construction project I have ever lived through. From picking out products, drawings, even help with my co-op board & permits that I needed. Everything came in on time , they cleaned up everyday before leaving. I didn’t need to do anything. I highly recommend Knockout if you want a stress free renovation project!

I hired Knockout Renovation to do a major reno on my Manhattan condo. I worked with a designer, who then became my project manager, handling all the details of the complicated project. This approach is much superior to the more traditional process that friends of mine have used, where the client selects an independent designer, and then has to hire and coordinate an army of individual contractors to perform the work.
Knockout Reno took care of all of this, and overall did an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

When I became interested in renovating and modernizing my bathroom,
I reached out to numerous design and build firms. I got detailed quotes from 4 different firms, while Knockout Renovation didn't provide the cheapest quote, it was very competitive and I felt most comfortable proceeding with them.

Both June and Keith have been great to work with and they helped me make the best of my space and proposed designs that fit my needs and aligned with what was important to me.

The approval from the co-op board was a struggle and I had to negotiate on some matters with the board. This added significant delays to the work start date and I didn't get approval for everything I wanted. The delays threw some of my plans off. While these delays weren't coming from Knockout, rather from the co-op board, my feedback to Knockout would be to keep track of the average time co-op boards take to approve bathroom renovations and set expectations with clients accordingly.

Once the project was finally started, Knockout Renovation delivered on the actual demolition and reconstruction work on time and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I'm extremely happy with the outcome, the bathroom looks and functions great! I would use Knockout Renovation in the future again. Thank you for everything!
