A really good small museum tucked away in the Kowloon park. We'll worth a visit

A simple but very beautiful museum detailing the history of Hong Kong from all fronts. I took quite a while viewing each display as they were all referencing to HK’s past, even before its rise as a global city.

Most importantly, entrance is free, so this was definitely worth the visit when you’re in Kowloon Park.

Excellent exhibits with clear explanations both in English and Chinese. Free admission and wheelchair accessible with highly accommodating staff. I highly recommend visiting, especially earlier on in your visit to HK as I feel it could be helpful in orienting you to different aspects and areas of the city, and give you some ideas on where else to visit especially if you enjoy art, history, and architecture.

A good small museum for getting an oversight of Hong Kong’s growth over the past two hundred years, mainly with a focus upon architecture. There are several display with archaeological finds to show the ‘deeper’ history before several areas with games and videos to talk about how the Hong Kong buildings have risen and risen through time, whilst also trying to preserve its unique heritage.

Truly an oasis, within a lush green park, that's in the heart of a busy neighbourhood - Tsim Sha Tsui. Situated in a historic building the discovery centre has a comprehensive permanent exhibition about Hong Kong from prehistoric times through the Qin Dynasty to the present, and a new limited time exhibition called Under the Same Roof. Be sure to check out the scheduled guided tours at 11 and 3:30.

Great place to learn more about Hong Kong's history. It is a small museum but thoughtfully designed to engage the audience. Good location, it is right smack in the middle of Kowloon. It is free too.

This is a decent little museum. The first part about historic Hong Kong was very interesting to me, but much of the rest which focused on things like architecture were less interesting. Overall it is probably worth a visit. Admission is free and it is in a beautiful park.
