Looks… interesting, but „castle“ is highly misleading in terms of optics and history. Has a nice vista though, so 3/5
Been coming here since I was a kid, 15 years ago. It's a cool little spot for a picnic with great views and some history.
Worth the short drive up from highway 50.
Ok, it’s not exactly a giant castle with a moat but for being 4 minutes off the highway and far from any European kings, it’s definitely a cool stop to see. Ghost town meets old fortifications feel. Only real downside is the fence blocks the view (but beats people trashing the place).

Pretty cool to see. Too bad it's fenced. Would be fun to see it from inside, especially the view.
Stokes Castle is just a short drive from Austin, NV. Just outside of Austin. It's a dirt road, easy to drive in a car. The view is great. The castle was neat, but fenced off. It is worth going to.
