Nice museum for a very decent price! While attempting to buy tickets their website said that the museum is closed on weekdays... However, based on google reviews we decided to risk it and it turned out that it was open. The museum yourself was really nice. It is one of the smaller ones we have seen but still a very enjoyable museum. For me it was not a problem but my girlfriend found the lighting a bit dim and dark.
An oasis in the packed city. The museum is small, but everything is well presented. A must if you are visiting Barcelona with small children.
The museum consists of two parts: the exhibition and a play area.
The exhibition is rather good, with an overwhelming amount of stuffed birds, minerals, fungi etc.
The order was not clear to me. Its formed generally like a horseshoe, with two entrances. One starts with minerals and proceeds through plants and microbes all the way up to gorillas. The other one starts from the creation of the Earth and proceeds chronologically all the way up to gorillas. Which means that whichever entrance you took, you go half the exhibition forward (in time or complexity) and the other half - down 😁
The play area is made, of course, with children in mind, and introduces them to some biological and technical issues.
And it was free (at least on the day I was there, which was a Sunday). A couple of hours well spent.

Modest but soooo worth a visit. Well presented with good message boards in three languages, so, a great chance to brush up yer Catalan, Spanish or English! Nicely scientific but just let's you get on with enjoying the exhibits and the space. And, very cheap too and easily walkable from town or hop on a tram down Diagonal.
A true hidden gem.
This museum offers an enriching and captivating experience for all ages. The extensive collections, including fascinating fossils and a diverse range of animal specimens, are both educational and very captivating.
Recommend at least 2 hours for the visit.
Recommend getting the tickets online, just in case.

My visit to the Natural Science Museum in Barcelona was a delightful blend of education and entertainment. The exhibits were not only informative but also engaging, making learning about our natural world an enjoyable experience.
Sehr großes und Interessantes Naturkundemuseum, viele Exponate und Lesematerial in Englisch. Die permanente Austellung ist gut Sortiert (vom Urknall bis zur heutigen Zeit).
Man hat gut einige Stunden zu tun und das für einen unschlagbaren Preis. Empfehlenswert wenn man in der Nähe ist und sich für die Geschichte unseres Planeten und Sonnensystem interessiert.
