Many times traveling with family members to Delaware or New Jersey or New York from Washington D.C then vice versa we would take interstate 895 highway to avoid the beltway traffic. Baltimore Harbor tunnel made a nice short cut to get away from heavy traffic congestion! Can’t remember how many times we passed through this tunnel over the course of 20 years! Yeehaw! Yeehaw!😊

The Baltimore Harbor Tunnel is a major transportation tunnel in Baltimore, Maryland, that crosses the Patapsco River. It's a vital part of the Interstate 895 highway, connecting the southern and northern parts of the city. The tunnel facilitates traffic flow between Baltimore and neighboring areas, playing a significant role in the region's transportation network.

Coming from NY where tunnels are always backed up by 30-45 mins , Baltimore tunnel is just awesome .. usually no traffic or wait times . Well built and very good overall. Not sure what the TOLL for this tunnel is , but I’m sure it is much cheaper than New York . Iconic Baltimore tunnel .. 👏👏

Smooth ride through this time. No traffic. Doesn’t seem as narrow as some other tunnels I have been in. Nicely lit the whole way.

Today was the beginning of the end of hopefully
A very rough two weeks. They say bad things happen in threes. Well I got six. If I’m being tested by someone or taught a lesson- I’m learning and I’m sorry. Any way. Today- my actual nightmare came true. I ran out of gas in the fort McHenry tunnel.

Thankfully my rental ram 2500 made it out of the tunnel just before the ezpass tolls and Keith avenue exit. I was stuck in my truck for 3 hours. And only once did someone check on me. Jermaine. I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong. But Jermaine just wanted to make sure I was ok. And actually chewed the fat with me while I waited to be taken care of. I will forever have a new found respect for MDOT employees and Jermaine went above and beyond just to make sure I was safe. So thank you, sir. Not to be all corny.. but it meant a lot.
