The Babcock

I have lived at the Babcock since August of 2023 and have loved it every day since. Latoya was so helpful during the leasing process and was so patient and involved in the process! Jennifer and Ronnie have been great when it comes to maintenance and are always the sweetest when I speak to them!

The details in retaining the historical details of this placereally pay off. You cam imagine it as it must have one been as you walk down the hallways. The grounds are amazingly beautiful. The people that I know that live there love it. The only downside is the one single elevator for the entire facility is not enough. Moving in and out is quite difficult. It is an extremely small one and not in a useful area for convenience.

I want to start that I love living here and enjoy the staff of Amanda Leigh who always gets things done immediately when asked. Latoya whose helped with our issues and ensure they don’t happen again. Ronnie who always goes above and beyond on everything he does. My complaint is with the owners and offering the EV charging stations. I just got an EV mostly because I’d have access to the charging stations. But because parking on property is so limited that normal cars will take these spots first. It’s also offered as an amenity…aren’t amenities supposed to be free? I was told one hour should charge my car fully because it’s a fast charge but it didn’t charge my car entirely in an hour and any time past that is $5.00 a minute!! That’s insane and this was set by the owners as that’s what ChargePoint app communicated.
When I asked can this be changed to free?
I was informed the owners weren’t ready to do such because it’s accessible to the public.
This makes zero sense as it’s on Babcock property and anyone who parks on property without a decal gets towed.
I’m also the only EV vehicle in the building so far so it’s a bit crazy charging that much for it right off the bat. It’s like if they charged us to use the pool!

I am lucky enough to work down the road that I can use the FREE charging stations in the parking garages while I’m working.

This apartment complex is amazing! Latoya gave us a wonderful tour and was very knowledgeable about the property and it's cool history! She was so welcoming and friendly and was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. Love this place!

Living here was fun and stress free. The leasing team is WONDERFUL, communicative and helpful which you rarely get. I had such minor issues and they were fixed within 1 day (also so rare when leasing). My dog also loved living here. The pool is great. I wish I could have stayed longer!

My daughter and I scheduled a tour of The Babcock as a potential future apartment for her with Latoya. During the tour, The Babcock quickly became my daughter’s number one choice. Latoya was very thorough and informative, showing us multiple options/floor plans that work with her budget and understanding what my daughter was looking for in an apartment. The renovations of the old hospital are well done. But where The Babcock and Latoya really shine was her interaction with current residents. She seemed to personally know almost each resident we encountered. We have not found that at any other apartment complex.

Just toured today. I can’t express enough how amazing this place is, how great the managers are and the culture here. Every room is full of unique features- there’s nothing bland or cookie cutter about them and so moving through various rooms felt like an adventure, not a chore. The building has an interesting history that gives its modern use as an apartment complex so much life!
