Kai’s coffee moved in recently to Waikiki Shopping Plaza 1st Fl. This was the first time ordering turkey pesto sandwich and it was delicious! I wanted more again soon! Picture says it all.

I tried 4 different cafes in Oahu during our 7D trip and this by far is my favourite. This cafe is just right across the Sheraton Princess Kaulani. Highly recommend Kai latte(Espresso with Macadamia Nut syrup and your choice of milk).

Amazing people! No matter how long the waiting line is, they are very calm and respectful, finishing all orders in a timely manner. They make a great cappuccino!

Kai Coffee is some of the absolute best coffee on the island, hands down. The beans are fresh. The macadamia nut coffees/frappes are the best. So good that we’ll walk the whole strip just to get to it.

We buy the beans to brew at home. The house blend is the winner. Picked up some extra fancy today but haven’t brewed it yet.

The bros working the counter are all friendly and quick.

This location is really small on the inside but there’s plenty seating in the courtyard.

Getting to this place is easy on foot. Basically, you can get to it from any entrance on the block. It’s immediately across from Dylan’s Candy Bar. You can’t miss it with all the blue umbrellas.

Looking forward to the next cup.

I always have a difficulty to find a good cappuccino but in Honolulu my first choice was a winner! I chose Hai Coffee at Hyatt based more on my intuition and I was right. First of all they can make small cappuccino (8 ounces) but it is better to order in a cup not a paper cup because paper cups are bigger so you get more milk. Cappuccino is really tasty with good amount of coffee and foam milk as it should be. The service is good but you have to be very clear what you order. In this case I had to clearly say that I want small 8 ounces cappuccino. When my friend was ordering for me and he only said small I got the bigger cup that means more milk that means not good. When I went to say that I wanted small cappuccino the waiter got a little bit defensive and started arguing with me that my friend ordered medium. Well, I don't know at what point was a misunderstanding but it would be nicer that the waiter just re make the cappuccino. He obviously did but with kind of attitude and this time it was just like a coffee with milk with just a little bit od foam at the top.
Nevertheless I was still going there for my cappuccino because it is worth it.

My wife and I, suffering from jet lag, stopped in for a cup after settling into the hotel.

She had the Kai Latte and I got a Cappuccino. The base coffee itself is just absolutely delicious and full of flavor, the Kai latte which is their signature drink has a sweet macadamia cream and she thought it was divine.

They do have a variety of sandwiches and pastries as well as some fruit in the case next to the register and it all looks quite good.

The barista on duty at our visit wasn't the most pleasant person, but he did make a good cup of coffee.

Lots of seating in the courtyard of the hotel.

I must have drank Kai latte at least three times in one day one early in the morning, the second time around noon and the third time around 4 pm when it was very warm but man , their Kai latte is the best so far! Kai latte of macadamia latte per se. Their turn overs are yummy as well as their Kai breakfast!
