Mesmerizing natural reserve...
Quite peaceful with plenty of birds chirping around. Best to visit on a bright sunny day.

Quiet and not well trodden. Would recommend as a general walk as there nothing outstanding to draw you in... Except on a warm clear sunny day, the views are amazing for a picnic.

Steep banks and can be muddy but a lovely quiet place to walk around, wildlife, wildflowers, ponds and plenty of seating , used to be a colliery and the remains of the wheel house is still standing, known locally as "The Castle"

Great place for a quiet walk with the dog. Lovely circular routes from Coxhoe and Quarrington Hill.
