Medina Medical Centre

Today my mother was seen by Dr.Saleem at the Medina Medical Practice on Malzeard Road. The Dr was very attentive to my mother by having a person centered approach. She was gentle and respected her dignity through out her treatment. Being the daughter, next of kin and carer Dr.Saleem also made me feel at ease and valued my input and now we are awaiting further investigation by other members of the MDT. I would also like to mention Dr.K Singh, other clinicians and the reception staff both at Medina/Malzeard Medical Practice has always had an eager desire to assist my mother and I where convenient. Thank you to you all.

These guys are unfortunately a joke. The last time I had an appointment, the nurse answered her mobile and carried on a personal phone call whilst trying to deal with me at the same time. I got numerous messages to book a COVID jab earlier this year, called up to be told they don't have any, and to call back in a month or so, whilst still receiving messages telling me to call up and book my jabs! Recently, I spent an hour on hold to be mugged off and not helped by the receptionist. Time for a new surgery, one that doesn't keep moving addresses.

Lovely building and lovely people! I cant understand why people criticise the reception staff without realising how difficult there job is! Personally ive been with this surgery since i was 14. I dont really need the doctor to often but everytime i do, i totally appreciate how hard they work.
Dr SIngh is a brilliant human, she is a highly skilled and experienced doctor. She cares for her patients genuinely and tries to do what ever she can to help them. Recent experience i had a consultation with her where she was able to address my concerns and send me for further tests as she deemed necessary.
Most of the locum doctors here are regular and also very professional.
I would recommend this surgery to everyone and really wish Dr singh becomes my permanent doctor for medina.

The building is lovely and the doctors are great. However what makes this experience very poor is the staff at reception.
Never in my life have I ever come across rude and patronising people (I use the term people loosely). Paper lying around, medical records all over the table, food everywhere... the list just goes on.
I am fortunate I can speak English and can get my things and leave but seriously I feel for the non English speaking people who have to use this surgery. They really do get spoken to like dirt. One girl seems to just sit there and eat digestives in the afternoon??? Its a bit sick and I think they need to clean the act up at reception and talk to people as if they are humans and not dirt! Aside from the people at reception, this clinic is fine.

This GP practice doesn't deserve a star. Very poor customer service . Amateur professionals work in the reception, their behaviour is rude an unacceptable. It seems they not bothered talking to people. Called about 200 times since 9 am and got line 11.15 am. Was told no appointment available that day cause shut at 1 pm !! I wonder how they get GP practice licences??

The worst ever medical practice in the whole of Luton. Called and was next in line for 47 mins then my line got disconnected and when I called back. Next in line for 25 mins then it was closed. You think I have time on my hand to be calling a medical center for the fun of it ? Absolutely joke ! Get your parents out of this place if you want them to live and also get their prescriptions on time. The receptionist at the medical center is slower than a sloth ! People's lives are in danger in this medical practice, especially when your calls are being ignored!!!!!!! I hope someone does read this review, I hope the GP reads this review and slaps himself or the staff for the total incompetence. Check the CV's before you appoint your staff

The reception staff is a complete and utter joke. They sit there gossiping abt there lives. You ask them something and they have an attitude. I mean what is there job description, anyone would think they act as if they're a CEO of a company. The drs are pretty good but the staff I'm sorry to say has let this place down considerably. I suppose that's what you get when you employ untrained staff with no education and no etiquette. No wonder this place is having problems.
