The place is beautiful and doctor wedmore and his team are doing a great job just like they did at Thatcher Island we are lucky to have such a treasure on Cape Ann

Salt crusted cove lobster pots

Beautiful location.

Scenic cove just southeast of Rockport, MA. Former coast guard station still stands, now privately owned and well kept.

Unique. Climb around the rocks. Bring an adventurous child. Cliff walk (old garden beach path) nearby.

Great little light house, see Thacher Island Association to see more of Straitsmouth island Lighthouse

This island is open to the public for the first time this calendar year! Approximately a 40-min kayaking trip from the rental place at 9 Tuna Wharf, Rockport. It has a quaint lighthouse (whose horn might go off if needed by a boater--be aware as you're up there) whose top is accessible only by ladders (but they're building a raised platform by next year). It's a short hike there from the kayaking dock. You can swim from anywhere on the perimeter of the island. Be wary of seagulls, ticks, and poison ivy. If you need, there are volunteers living in the newly constructed house next to the lighthouse who can provide lots of info and help, if needed.
