We had an absolutely wonderful time renting a cabin here. We’ll definitely be back again next winter. Cabins were clean, warm and cozy. The park is gorgeous and we lucked out with the perfect weather.
In winter my husband and I stayed in a cabin and it was absolutely amazing. I'm used to tent camping in winter, this was luxury!
There was a propane fireplace that heated our cabin within minutes and if anything it was too hot a few times and we had to open a couple of windows. The beds were more than comfortable and very sanitary. The small fridge was perfect for our needs.
We enjoyed a nice fire outside at the pit in the evenings and I went for a polar plunge in the lake. Cannot wait to return!

Great camp sites for the off season, plenty of nice hikes and a campground host so you can buy wood in the off season without trekking all the way back to the front office. In the summer, swimming can be a bit slimy near the shore but clears further out. Check out the self guided forest therapy hike on the first part of the tower trail.
Great park; visited in the winter before really any snow so we got good use of all the trails. The park staff is amazing, so friendly and super knowledgeable. The trails are well maintained and well marked and the work put into the trails through the “Friends” is phenomenal. I’ve hiked interpretive trails before within Algonquin and other trail systems however the work and detail put into this park is great. Thanks so much!
