Rosen Terrace Inc

The building and grounds are a dump. The bushes are over grown and cover 60% of the sidewalk in front, with garbage scattered on their property. The entire operation is an eyesore to the community.

Unfortunately I had to put one star to publish my complaint. I have 4 yrs living in this beautiful area.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 my husband and I decided to move to a more affordable place which is 1000 less than we pay here. I have to agree with the person who was complaining about the owners because I've been receiving the same treatment.
They are careless, not professional, JENNIFER is a VERY RUDE PERSON and DANIEL works by emotions not by what it needs to be done professionally and legally. Right now we are trying to leave the apartment in good terms and not stay for another year struggling with the payments. We been receiving "Notice to quit " paper after 1 year we were living here instead of a "Renewal Lease". Due to this unfortunate crisis We decided to comply with the Notice to quit and leave the premises on June 28th however DANIEL is demanding from us to pay 10 days of July "because this was a late notice" mind you ,we already returned the "Notice to quit " without signature because we don't want to stay here. There is no way you can speak to someone in the office in a professional manner. They lack of respect and very unreliable company. They just want their money whether you lost your job for COVID-19 or no. I would read ALL REVIEWS before planning to move into this building. I'm planning to report my case on tv.

We have lived in Rosen Terrace for almost 20 years and have seen it transformed from a neglected rent-controlled property to a very well managed apartment complex in North Bergen, NJ. Located on beautiful Boulevard East, Rosen Terrace affords gorgeous views of upper Manhattan in the back of the buildings and looks out onto the lake in North Hudson Park in the front. There are four major NJ Transit bus routes that stop directly in front of the building providing easy access to midtown Manhattan. Rent is controlled by the borough of North Bergen and consequently these rental apartments are priced substantially below market value. The apartments are extra-spacious by any standards, the buildings are kept clean and newly rented-apartments are completely renovated. Add a parking place included in the rent and Rosen Terrace is one of the best-kept real estate secrets in the NYC area!

Be careful do NOT move into this old building which is run by Jewish owners that dont care. They control the heat from there office and keeo it down during the winter time. They have paid several violations last year for this issue and its ongoing in amount of approx 3k. When you complain that the wind draft is coming through the windows they will NOT replace nor repair them. Instead they call the Mayor if the county to call health dept to step off so in other words they have political power as well. Do NOT waste your time moving into this building that is supposedly “rent control”. After fighting in court several times for failure to fix windows, provide adequate heat and mices yes mices in the apartment. They kept telling tennat that they would repair the issue but kept lying amd saying the tenant was NOT home nor available which was not true. After montha of fighting this issue and having a newborn in the apartment I decided to move with the agreement that they would refund me my FULL security deposit which they did NOT.!!!! They claimed that I left blinds in the windows which is not a tear/wear on the apartment and charged me a fee and charged me for putting a whole in the door with my own lock bc there cheap lock kept constantly breaking and cost $11. Both chargeds are not in compliant with NJ tenant Law. Also, they begged me to leave so I did however it took me a few months to find a place and they increase the rent and deducted that from my security deposit as well as “arrears” which against the law and the agreement I had with there lawyer Barry Cohen. Also, the manager is Zach Perl some young kid that runs the office and is very unprofessional. Not only did he continue “lying” but they fired 3 supers. One that use to take bribes from people and money. Long story short do NOT move into this unit or any of them owned by Rosen Terrace Inc.

This one star rating bears no reflection on the Super of Rosen Terrace. Michal is an exceptional superintendent. He cares, has integrity and an excellent work ethic. He's the best Super we've ever had.
