Went to try out the Arashiyama store first. We loved it so much and thought we had to try out its sister store in Kyoto. Food and service were great and they did not disappoint. Loved the golden egg rice bowl!
A very beautiful restaurant with an interesting menu. The set meal is full of different dishes from beef, pork to seafood. There are so many varieties and the small dishes will fill you up!
It is next to the Inari temple so it is very convenient!
It’s a popular restaurant so make sure you book a seat on their website in advance!

Sorry. Really not my cup of tea. Dashi soup kakiage was bland and tasteless. Sea bream rice was bad. Just bad. The marinated meat in rice was the nicest. The squid inari thing was weird. Sukiyaki was just... Bad. The soup tasted like dilute peanut flavoured soup, and it didnt go well with the meat. The golden egg rice was okay.
Overall, not worth 4,000 yen at all. Better to eat elsewhere or at the street outside the shrine area.

We were led upstairs where we had to remove our shoes of course. Good view from our window. They only had a set menu available but the items came as pictured and flavours did not disappoint. Every dish was exquisite and had amazing attention to detail. Well worth the asking price. Considering the small portions of the dishes, it was quite filling. Hands down a place you must visit!!

Stumble upon this gem on the way down from the top of Mt Inari . They may only sell 1 item on the menu which is a seasonal set of 4 gourmet bowl but it was delicious and refreshing.
Lovely environment and friendly staff, the food is delicious and a work of art. Their specialty is their seasonal set which we enjoyed after our Inari shrine morning visit. Would definitely recommend making a reservation and requesting the second floor for the view.
Lovely set meal with all fresh and delicious ingredients, all with a beautiful Interior. Soft jazz music playing in the background sets the tone, would definitely recommend to book a reservation.
