It was a particularly hot day in Kyoto, the day my husband and I decided to visit the Fushimi Irani. While we had always planned the Vermillion cafe to be a part of our visit to Fushimi Irani, we landed up there sooner than later given the extremely hot and humid weather.

We were not disappointed. We got seated as soon as we arrived, luckily. We ordered the cheese cake, a flat white and their seasonal cooler. The cheese cake has to be one of the best I have ever had! The coffee was delicious as was the cooler.
We also got the much needed respite that we were looking for!

We had lunch reservations else we would have definitely ordered more. The food that was arriving at other tables looked sumptuous. Highly recommend this coffee shop to everyone!

The cafe has a cozy and modern atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The menu offers a variety of delicious drinks and pastries, all beautifully presented and flavorful. The coffee was especially good, with a rich and smooth taste.

Great little stop away from the crowds of the Fushimi shrine. The coffee here was exceptional! Food was great also and the view of the pond was quite zen/relaxing. This place does get a little busy so I would recommend coming here earlier if possible. The staff here speak English so language was not an issue at all.

Fantastic little cafe to round out a visit to the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The iced mocha was one of the best I've had -- rich coffee and chocolate flavor, with a dusting of matcha on top. Also got a double cheese toast and an orange muffin, which were both delicious. There's plenty of seating, both indoors and also on a lovely back patio that overlooks a pond -- I saw a great blue heron just hanging out. Service is very efficient and very friendly. You gotta come here!

An amazing hideaway oasis from the nearby crowded Fushimi Inari shrine. The food was delicious, the drinks on point and I really appreciated the hospitality from the staff as I needed to change my babies diaper and even though they don’t have changing tables, they helped me find an alternative. A great place to eat, drink and enjoy company with nature!

My husband loved the food here so much we came back. All the ingredients are fresh and the sausages are delicious. The eggs are pouched well and the cracked pepper on the cheese toast is amazing! We have a toddler who loved his granola bowl. The view is also just relaxing and beautiful. The line can get long later in the day, so make sure you hit this spot earlier for breakfast/brunch before seeing the shrine.

A fantastic place to eat with many vegetarian and vegan options. We were some of the first customers they served that day so they quickly had us seated and served our food promptly. We had ordered a soy mocha, the vermillion plate, an oat matcha and the humus with veggies and everything was delicious.
