Never, would I EVER imagine an emergency doctor would look my husband in the eyes and say "I know she can't breathe. But what do you want me to do about it?"
My husband brought me here when I was experiencing respiratory failure due to a myasthenia gravis crisis. I knew what was happening. I wrote it down to show them (I was completely unable to speak at this point) and was met with shrugs.
I was literally gasping for air (diagram was fatiguing). They placed an IV to draw blood, found nothing obvious, and told me there was nothing they can do and to call a neurologist on Monday (this was Friday night.)
When we realized that they were going to send me home to literally die, I pulled my own IV and my husband rushed me to lankenlou. There, I was intubated and put on a ventilator. I ended up there for 3 months in ICU care, being assessed and cared for by a competent team.
We live 2 minutes from roxborough hospital, but will never come back here. I'd rather die on my way to an actual medical facility, then suffocate in one of their triage beds.

I'm her Fiance and I've been in excruciating pain for more than a couple hours been waiting in the wait room more than 2+ hours plus only just to get my face glued this is insanity and so obnoxious it's a terrible experience to go thru and all worldwide needs to see how pathetic medical centers operate.........

This ER is not equipped to handle minor trauma. I broke the tip of my finger and detached my nail bed such that bone was exposed. Doc refused to stitch the nail bed back together so bone was not exposed and said he never heard of such a thing. Left and went to the Lankenau ER and they stitched it up for me. Now I guess I have to pay Roxborough doc for refusing to do his job? They barely gave me gauze and didn’t clean the wound to assess the situation. Bizarre and disheartening experience.

My one year old had a 105 fever and woke up vomiting. She was burning up so I brought her to the ER. Triage took her vitals which her temp only read 99 because they did it through her ear which isn’t accurate for babies plus she was moving. We get a room and wait. The doctor comes in, doesn’t even tell me his name. Does absolutely nothing and says she’s fine, she doesn’t have a fever. I told him how they took her temp through her ear which isn’t accurate & he even agreed it isn’t as accurate but still said she’s okay and discharged me. He didn’t check her or anything. Ran no tests for RSV, Flu, Covid, nothing. Basically walked in made me feel dumb & overreacting & discharged me. All without telling me his name. My little one threw up in car again on way home and temp was 104 when got home. Took her to KOP CHOP emergency. She had Covid. So, so much for this place… would not recommend especially for bringing your littles here.

Just left The Emergency Room, first doctor was very nice, first Nurse was Awsome, exray Tech was also professional,But The One That Gave Me The Discharge Papers Was So Unprofessional, She Came In The Room Unannounced, Know Introduction, Just Said Nothing Broke You Can Go!!!! I Said Your Not Evening going To Exspain To Me The Doctors Orders,I Quote? I just Did,shook Her Head and Walked Away, With That Kind Of Behavior, I'm 100% Certain She Has Done This Many Of times,Would Love To See Her File On Complaints,Still Have To Love Her That's What The Good Book 📖 Tells Me,But I 🙏 That Someone Talk To Her,,and ask Her How Would She Feel If Some Treated Her Father Like That,N CLOSING AS A HONOREABLE VETERAN THIS IS WHAT SOME OF US HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN WE COME HOME,PRAY FOR THAT SISTER YALL,THANKS BE BLESSED BROTHER VEST 🙏

Took my friend to this ER. Staff were rude and made fun of her condition, did not take her seriously when she obviously needed help. Wasted 6 hours there just for them to tell her that they couldn’t do anything for her when something obviously could have been done. You go to the ER as a last resort, when something actually needs to be done, and they waste your time. I would not trust this place to care for you or your loved ones. I never write reviews, but the experience was so poor that I felt the need to warn others. Also, if you don’t like hanging out with cockroaches, I don’t suggest you go here.

I like Roxborough, but they could stand to have the ER rooms just a little neater! Last time I was there with my mother, staff kept dropping gloves and stuff....as a neat freak I made sure they washed their hands and used another pair of gloves. They get four stars because they use a Purewick for incontinent patients, this is the greatest non-invasive catheter!
