There was an error on my birth certificate founded by a passport agent, while I was applying for a passport. Long story short I called and spoke with Leoni and she helped me get everything situated In under 20 minutes, I’m not even exaggerating! Thank you so much Leoni!!!!

Had a great experience at vital statistics this morning. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Nilba assisted me in obtaining my birth certificate and she was very helpful. Wait time was minimal. Parking available behind the building, with a door to enter the building from the parking lot.

Today I needed my daughter’s birthday certificate for her to do an emergency passport in Buffalo NY tomorrow. The process was fast I was out in 16 min and the staff was really friendly from the security guard to the clerk.

On Wednesday, February 22nd, my husband and I went into the Vital Statistics Office to drop-off our marriage license to receive our marriage certificate, as we were instructed to when picking up the marriage license. The first lady who assisted us told us to complete the form that says we will be requesting/paying for the marriage certificates and let the office know that we are ready for the processing of the form. Well, when we go back into the office, the black lady looked at our marriage license and immediately slid our marriage license back to us, slapped all the papers together and said we need to go to Woodland Park. I asked for clarification. She was very agitated and not in the mood to do her job of providing customer service. I just wanted clarification as we filed our marriage application in Paterson. There needs to be mandatory customer service training for the employee in the Vital Statistics Office as I went to the Woodland Park office (which I googled while sitting in the lobby and if I had questions, I was certainly going to ask them without fear of being disrespected) and was provided with efficient, calm and logical customer service. I had to compliment the Woodland Park employee because the service at the Paterson office was such a stark contrast that it was disappointing.

Went today 9/19/2022, and received excellent service. Spoke with Annie, her staff helped me immediately with a copy of my birth certificate . I was in and out within 15 minutes. Thank you!!!

Staff were pretty helpful and friendly to me. Something you don’t often see in a government agency. Also has a parking too, which is nice.

Vital statistics at Board of health. If you thought DMV employees were bad, pray you never have to deal with the employees here. Ladies here are extremely rude, slow and don't respect people's time. Went twice to pick up my marriage license here and both time they didn't have it ready. How long does it take to create a marriage license. This is the problem with the government workers in Paterson.
