Restaurant Beroya

AMAZING!! it was my first time eating at a Syrian restaurant and it definitely won’t be my last! i loved everything i ate and i 100% recommend!!!

The restaurant was cute. The food was not the best, I was a little disappointed. I’ve tried a few Syrian restaurants now and this falls at the bottom of the list honestly. The tartar was flavourless, the hummus was good but the meat on top was dry. The drinks were too strong (some people might like that). The service was pretty bad. Our waitress looked a little annoyed to be working, she took forever to take our order since I could see her scrolling on her phone behind the booth. I watched our drinks sit at the bar for 10 mins before they were served to us. They brought all our food except bread for all our dips and didn’t remember to bring it until we asked, so our meat on the hummus got cold before we got to try it. The waitress completely disappeared when it came time to pay so we had to ask the other waiter for the bill after 20 mins of sitting there.

My family and I went to Beroya a handful of times and it was always excellent. The food was always outstanding. The quality is unparalleled to any other Syrian restaurant in Montreal, plus, the prices are extremely reasonable. There are many options of authentic Syrian meals to choose from, including meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Kevin, our waiter, was incredibly kind and made us feel very welcomed.

I loved the food, the flavors, the ambiance and the incredible staff. I will be going frequently now and trying all their Syrian dishes. Delicious explosion of spices.

Highly recommended! Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and fast service. Their hot pita bread, Hummus, and garlic yogurt were an amazing combination as a starter. A grilled plate could be a good option for the main course and out of this world!

Where should I begin?

The food is absolutely delicious and it tastes so fresh! We had various starters to start and everything was great. From the salad to the hummus, it was delicious.

For the main plate, we’ve ordered the kafta brochette, the chicken brochette and the lamp chops… delicious!

The staff is friendly and helpful.

Beroya is indeed pricey but the food does not fall short in any way. Every dish is made with attention and you can really taste the difference in each bite. The fattouche salad, the mohammara spread, the kebbeh, cheese rolls and the mixed grill platter were all so flavourful. The restaurant is also spacious and has a really nice vibe to it. Syrian cuisine is soooo good, try it and see for yourself. Plenty of parking available.
