Local Bar Short North

Great staff, stiff drinks, and a fun atmosphere! Plus the pool table and darts are a great way to pass some time.

It was a cute small local bar that was extremely cheap. Love that they had karaoke midweek. It's a very diverse crowd which is really really great to see in Ohio. I would totally go back here again if I'm in that area.

I was visiting town alone and wanted a place to hang out and maybe meet some nice people. Local Bar was it! The bartender, Taylor, was amazing and made me feel like a friend within no time. The other patrons were a good time as well. This place was one of the more enjoyable bars I've been to in a long time. Taylor made a great drink - the "Taylor's Special" - that was perfect! I loved it!

I've been coming here for years (i also work for the company.) Last night, I stopped in to take a quick shot before I walked home, and the bartender was nasty and rude rolled her eyes at me because I asked for an esplon and forgot to say reposado and she had poured a quarter of an ounce into the glass before i stopped her. I've never felt more uncomfortable at local than the 5 minutes I was in there last night.

This was one of my favorite bars in the area. It was. Then, once I had to dispute the drinks on my charge, I was met with incredible hostility. I was not given any reason or understanding. One of the bartenders, who had been loudly saying my last name all night, was the first to call me out for not tipping on a tab I was not reasonably responsible for. I wanted to tip the proper 20% as I do but was trying to do that in the tab I actually paid for.

This can be responded to by the business, but make no mistake: when you are in the wrong, they will only protect themselves. If the excuse is that the bartender that had served me was now off the clock and drunk then you should think twice about trusting any of them. I was only trying to understand why I was charged more than I was, and I was met with hostility, mostly by the bartender that thought he was safe because he was off the clock. Regardless of if people I don't even know erroneously bought drinks on my tab, I was met with the worst and most aggressive staff you could ever come across at a bar that makes more money than I could ever excessively tip.

Disregard any response this gets, nice or not, this is an incredibly harsh reaction from this that have been amazing bartenders to me for the last 6 years.

My husband and I had a good experience here. Good drinks and great company!! The bathroom walls are also very intriguing. I definitely like the playboy covers that you have all over the bathroom walls as a wallpaper!!

Fun bar with some of the best drink prices in the Short North. Attracts a very diverse crowd, the digital jukebox keeps people dancing all night, and each time I've visited (about 4 times), the atmosphere has a positive vibe. Patrons are generally friendly, open to conversation, and do not cause trouble from my experience. I only downgraded my rating to 4 stars because they really could use another 2 bathrooms to avoid very long lines when it is busiest.
