the bouncer or doorman whatever he is maybe security the bald man, tried to pull me out my chair while i was sitting in it. i work in the service industry so i try to understand alot but doing that to a woman is crazyy especially who was doing nothing. i literally spent over 200 in there that night 😭 he ruined the experience 0/10 don’t recommend if he’s there tbh. he sucks.
had a great date night here. it was connected to another sushi restaurant and then menu had both food options on there. food was very good but they were out of the calamari while we where there:(
Stopped by with a few friends for lunch. Was sat down pretty quickly, I ordered the chicken buffalo wrap it was pretty good, our waitress was amazing! She was super friendly and tentative she kept our drinks topped off and made sure our food came out the way we wanted it to. I believe her name was Malaya, props to her!
The food was par for the course. Nothing amazing, but good decent food. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. The tacos have ingredients that would make you think they’d be on the sweet side, but surprisingly they had a nice balance of sweet and savory. I was disappointed with the sweet potato fries. I had my palette ready for hot out the grease fries ready to be dipped in a good cinnamon butter, only to be let down to the reality of having to dip my sweet potato fries in KETCHUP! Yuck!!! Really, no cinnamon butter?!? It’s one of the easiest condiments to prepare in the kitchen! So I disappointedly ate them with no condiment to dip them in. Mediocre!

There was no one to greet me as I entered the establishment, just a lonely sign saying wait to be seated, then a sweet young African American woman asked if I needed something. Well, I’m complying with your sign. So she seats me and then my server finally appears after about a 10 minute wait. Not good for business! She brought me some cold water (no ice) in a glass and became offended when I told her there was no need to put the water on my table because I don’t drink municipal water. It was nothing against her or the establishment, I don’t trust the water supply in ANY municipality (remember Flint, MI)! It was downhill with her from there. She wears her feelings on her face. I asked to quickly speak to the chef and she told me HER chefs were busy and couldn’t come out. I could understand that if the place was busy, but my goodness, I’d want to know if there’s a better way to make something as simple as sweet potato fries and amazing dish just by changing the condiment you serve it with. The server (young, short, white female) needs an attitude adjustment and needs to know it’s just as easy to smile as it is to be a sour puss! All in all, the meal was just okay and I left the establishment wanting sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter! Lol!
Would I come back? Sure, only to try other things on the menu and to give them a chance for a better review. Sorry for not having any pics. Will do so in the future.

Upon looking at the menu online, I was not impressed, but after eating there I very much was! The menu is much more extensive in person. Don’t trust everything you read online. I will say the cauliflower appetizer they have is the most delicious cauliflower appetizer I have ever had, and I have had many. The pizza was also good. Thin crust, very Ohio pizza style if you like that. Parking is challenging, mostly on the street considering this is right downtown. The restrooms there were maybe the nicest restrooms for any restaurant I’ve ever been in, considering I was very pleasantly surprised, I will be back to try more food.
I saw a sign in the window that said, SUSHI BAR. There is street parking anywhere around; it’s very residential. I sat at the bar but cannot speak on drinks as I was just there to eat. I ordered the tuna tartare and a spicy yellowtail roll. The bartender was very calm and kind. My food was prepared in minutes. very delicious, good portion sizes. kind of expensive for a sushi roll, but perfect for a treat yourself moment. I will be back!

Great food! They are known for their burgers and they are big and delicious! We also tried the fried bologna sandwich with a side of wild fries, and it was also amazing.
This is a very small place with limited seating, so expect a wait at peak dining times. We waited 40 minutes for 2 bar seats on a Friday evening. It's worth the wait!

Second time dining here and both the sushi side and the American side are excellent. The poke bowl was a great app, the burgers were loved by my family, and the happy hour apps were great. Super nice service, cocktails, and atmosphere.

We had dinner for my sister's Birthday and Jennifer was our server. She was absolutely fantastic. She greeted us promptly, was very friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a short time window before we had to go to a show and she ensured everything went smoothly. The cocktails were on point and all of our food was very good. I definitely want to go back again and try the sushi selection. It's very refreshing to go to a restaurant and get a good experience. It's tough to come by these days. Nice job, South Village Grill!
Neat little place. Food was good, huge portions (burger alone is enough) but not anything to really rave about. The burger is so large it is basically raw inside after cooking. Service was a bit slow to check back and get bill.

Every time I have eaten here, I have been seated quickly but had to wait ~25 minuted to be introduced by wait staff, then have had to wait at least another 45+ minutes to be served. Service is so painfully slow that it kills the groups atmosphere. They desperately need to hire more people. It’s especially painful the couple times they brought the wrong food for a person or two & they had to wait another 30-40 minutes for their correct order.

Jonis provided top tier service. He was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of the whole night. Even gave me a fresh ice cold water to have with my tequila. 10/10 hospitality, highly recommend!! Make sure you ask for him if you ever stop by Bernie’s <3
Bernard’s is definitely my top choice of bar to kick it at. And Jonis is by far THE BEST bartender they have. Very funny and handsome😉!!
This place just sucked. Waitress wasn’t very friendly, took our orders in a random order instead of going around the table, so she didn’t take my order, would disappear for long moments of time. You have to pay $20 to start a tab, and the way they set things up is just so weird and confusing. The food was incredibly forgettable, flavorless burger, soggy fries, overpriced, long wait times even with nobody there. Go somewhere else
The blues jam on Wednesday nights is one of the best scenes for live music in Columbus. They get great musicians and the house band is excellent. The guy who runs it is also the guitarist/singer of the house band and he's also excellent. This is one of my favorite places to see live music. The crowds are good with mixed age groups and I've always felt safe. It's also a big place so there's lots of room. I have a buddy who visits from out of town once in a while for work and he likes going here whenever he visits on a Wednesday.
I did not have food. I had a drink, Sex on the Pool Table, which I could not taste the alcohol. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks. No greeter as we walked in. It was a Friday night, which was Karoke. There was barely anyone there. Most of the people were sitting around the bar. The patrons there appeared to range from 30yrs. - 60yrs. We will give it another chance soon.
Great happy hour even on a Sunday. The service was very fast and friendly. We had the calamari, green hummus and Brussels sprouts. The calamari was just a tad soggy but flavors were there. Definitely coming back to try more of their main dishes.
I love the variety and the range of the menu here. Steak, sandwiches, seafood, pizza, pasta, sushi-- if you can't decide what you want to eat, this place has you covered! The service is friendly, the interior is lovely, cocktails are tasty, and they have great lunch specials + a Monday night oyster special.

Pleasantly surprised! This little gem was amazing! I haven't had a great hamburger like this in years. Food was hot and delicious! Service was excellent, and atmosphere was warm and inviting.

The food was below average. Fresh cut fries would have been good if they weren't laying in a pool of grease when we receive them. They were also almost room temperature or below. I received the fries with a chicken salad sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich was boasted about by the waitress. The sandwich was not anything to write home about. Asked for mayonnaise and it took them three attempts to finally bring out margarine. Live music was supposed to start at 6:30 and did not start until after 7:00.
$50 got us 2 Corona extras, chicken salad sandwich with fries, chicken wrap with fries, fried pickles, and a diet coke.

The menu is impressive, but as it was my first visit, I couldn't NOT get a burger. The Thurman Burger was a sight to behold and I ended up eating it as two open-faced sandwiches. I got cheese curds as a starter and think if I had skipped those I would have been able to finish the burger. Come hungry!
I ordered a chicken wrap and my partner got crispy wings as a carry out order. We also got two orders of fries. The chicken wrap was mostly just tortilla and the wings were not crispy in the slightest. We’ve ordered from here before and had a good experience but this time felt like we were just throwing money down the drain.
I have always loved this place despite this only being my third time there. The food is always amazing and I recommend the Chicken Club Sandwich with their fresh cut fries and their Ranch dressing is amazing! I wish our server had been a tad more attentive, but my significant other thoroughly enjoyed the Johnny Burger with the additional shot of tequila and the cheese curds were absolutely killer. I highly suggest this anytime I'm in Columbus!

this sunday just wasn’t it . got a burger & respectfully told them how it was so undone ! completely pink ! i was told, someone higher up was being talked to & i was getting a burger remade . 30 mins later , still no food! waste of time . 1 star. don’t recommend.
Great hole in the wall bar with some history. Pro tip (I don't order them anywhere else). Order a long island iced tea.

Really good sports bar. Lots of beer choices. Not as many local options as I would like but enough. Food was great. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries! Place was super packed for NFL Sunday. Great crowd, both Bengals and Browns but sound was on Browns since Cbus is more Browns than Bengals.
Bernard’s is a great bar to watch games shoot pool and play darts. The staff is great friendly and always give timely service and make great relationships with regulars. I am a regular there and bartends like Jonis and Kylie know my order and bring it to me when I walk into the door. It’s types of relationships with staff like the one I have with Jonis and Kylie that keeps me coming back to Bernard’s every week.

Absolutely love this place! Bartenders are amazing, foods always great, karaoke night is always entertaining but Ive never had a bad experience here.
Nice place to go if you want to have a drink or hang out. The drinks are a hit or miss depending upon who is bartending. Not priced to bad for it being downtown Columbus.a shot of bourbon makers mark was $8.
I want to give their overall score atleast a 4 but I simply can't. Their kitchen hours aren't clearly posted so if you're there past 10 don't expect much. I mention this point because on their menus and online it appears their kitchen hours go until close. I understand that

This is THE place to drink in downtown Columbus. We visit everytime we go. Me and the Mrs get completely sh!t faced and are hard pressed to spend more than $20-$25. The whiskey is poured to near the rim of the glass and the mixed drinks are not shy on spirits. This one is an A+ for a night out drinking and bullsh!ting with folk.
Nice place. Went to see a band, for the size of the space, the music was uncomfortably loud. I had to leave when my ear facing the speaker was hurting. The food was ok. Service was good. I would love to watch the band again, but will not be able to sit any closer than the bar. My ear is still bothering me the next day.
We went here for my friend’s birthday. She and I split the NY Strip steak dinner. It was perfect. The steak was served medium rare, and they split the meal for us. It was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We shared burrata for the table. My husband had sous-vide chicken with gnocchi, and roasted mushrooms. And my friend’s husband had the Salmon Nicoise that he loved!!! We loved Milestone 229, and it’s been a long time since we have visited. But now that we moved to Columbus, we will be back! Our server, Casey, was very attentive and checked on us often. The only thing was, she forgot to bring us extra bread for the burrata. But everything else was perfect!
The number of tap beers was amazing! All different varieties. The short rib nachos were huge and a great hit!

This is our second time here, and it was very nice. Loved the food and atmosphere it’s a cool restaurant with a cool downtown vibe. We have the pretzel bread and shrimp tacos, both were amazing! I had the 229 cosmo and my husband had a bourbon. We split a pizza and it was great!

I was attending a nearby summit, and decided to stop by with a friend during our lunch break. The ambiance was refreshingly open and bright. Staff was friendly and attentive from start to end. I opted for the Lemon Chicken Pasta and it was really good. The shredded chicken was tender, the pasta was well cooked and the punchy feta and artichoke pieces were a bright point. I did grab the S&P shaker a few times, as the sauce needed it for me. But, otherwise was very enjoyable.
Food was flavorful and unique. Service was professional and friendly. Would definitely return!
We had a gluten-free member of our party, and the chef was able to amend the Shrimp Taco appetizer. We got it grilled instead of fried, and it was out of this world. The aïoli was creamy and delicious, the cucumber relish was refreshing, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly.
We also got the Spiced Cauliflower. Flavorful and well balanced, the curry was creamy with just a hint of heat. The cauliflower was crunchy, and the rice was smothered in curry sauce — such a yummy combo.
Our server was Andre, who was a delight. He was friendly and full of laughter, and he made right what the kitchen got wrong at one point, and they did not charge us for the mistake.
The portion sizes were generous. We happily ate just the fish tacos and curry cauliflower for the two of us. And it was plenty of food.
We ate outside and were hoping to get a view of the river, but it was more like a view of the bridge and the street. Also, one of the reasons we ate outside is because the inside of the restaurant had a slight dirty, dishwater smell. I’m not sure if that happens a lot or if this night was a fluke.

It was a cute small local bar that was extremely cheap. Love that they had karaoke midweek. It's a very diverse crowd which is really really great to see in Ohio. I would totally go back here again if I'm in that area.
Large variety of actual food, not just "bar" food. Food came quicker than expected. 4.5 stars, only because condiment's missing. Fish wrap didn't have tarter sauce like menu said, but was otherwise very well cooked and put together; came with generous portion of fries. Pretzel bites were perfect! Also ordered bologna sandwich that was very plain, could have used cheese? They did provide mayo on the side after we asked. Seemed like staff was having a hard time keeping up with full glasses; however, there was a very large group of folks in the dining room, reunion or something. There was live entertainment that kept patrons engaged. Overall, nice place, will return.

The Long Island Ice Tea is a must have if you visit here. I didn't get it last time. The first few times I came here I saw my old crush from high school. We talked a bit but then haven't really seen her since. Hoping she's doing well. Also the bartenders are great.
Food was amazing especially the Shrimp Tacos!! The atmosphere was great! Would've been better if the fountains were working but still a great view of downtown! Our waiter wasn't that great unfortunately. We had to ask for silverware and straws. Also had to keep waving him down for other things. All in all, it was a great experience! We will be back!
The BEST wings and food you’ll have at a bar (even breakfast)! If I want wings or some food after an all nighter; this is my go to every time. Not to mention the drinks always strong and affordable. The staff has always made me feel SAFE and welcomed like family.

For our last night in Ohio we ventured out to a different area of Columbus. We certainly made the right decision for our final dinning experience. At the Milestone 229 you have the option to dine inside or you can dine on the patio with an amazing view of the river area. First off the service was incredible. Our waiter checked in on us the perfect amount of times, not too little, not too much, the perfect amount. We started off with some fabulous German Pretzel Bread with a unique but delicious Whole Grain Honey Mustard. For our main courses we had the Lobster Ravioli and the Hanger Steak. Absolutely amazing, the Hanger Steak was cooked to perfection according to my liking and my beautiful date raved about the Ravioli. The side dishes that came with the Hanger Steak were amazing and a great compliment to the steak. Our waiter brought us the desert menu although we were to full to indulge the option sounded incredible. All in all, I can't think off a better place to wrap up our time in Columbus. The truth is every dining experience we had was great with delicious food; however the Milestone 229 was a step above. Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant. Great location. Very good interior design, however floor vents blew up frigid air. The staff was nice to offer vent covers, which eradicated the problem. Parking off street was very limited. Other than these two issues, I highly recommend this restaurant. The wait staff was very efficient and friendly. The food and presentation was above board. The pricing was appropriate for the quality and quantity of food presented. The entry was handicapped accessible, as were the restrooms. This place was a definite yes! My group and I plan to return and enjoy more entrees! You should try it too, you won't be disappointed!!!
It's a great local spot to chill and meet some people. It's usually busy on Saturdays and can be hard to find a table. The staff seems friendly to people of color and the drinks are good! If you're looking for a quick place to stop and drink one this is the place for you.
The atmosphere & design here is a vibe! The Spinach salad w/ ranch was fresh, delicious, & the crispy fried green tomato on top completely this salad perfectly! The fish tacos were spicy but really good. Sweet potato fries were great! Ask for Cole, he's an amazing server!
very good chicken and food overall get there before the crowd or the grill closes definitely a pro trump crowd but not to ignorant just don't mess up there bar.
This is an absolutely excellent spot in C-bus for live R&B and Jazz. The bar food is delicious and so are the drinks. The Savoy staff are friendly, courteous and very professional. It has a wonderfully mature atmosphere as well...
12/21/23-my second time visiting The Goat with some coworkers for a few celebratory occasions. We had a few cocktails, a few appetizers, and humorous and informative conversations. We had a great time. Thank you to our server, Megan. I added a few more pics. I recommend parking at the nearby garages during the weekdays if going during happy hour.

Went here last night to see the L.A. Band. The band was nice I’d definitely go see them again but not at this club. The bar staff and kitchen staff were nice. It was the carpet! Simply filthy! Please pull that carpet up. So nasty for a grown and sexy club!

I was visiting town alone and wanted a place to hang out and maybe meet some nice people. Local Bar was it! The bartender, Taylor, was amazing and made me feel like a friend within no time. The other patrons were a good time as well. This place was one of the more enjoyable bars I've been to in a long time. Taylor made a great drink - the "Taylor's Special" - that was perfect! I loved it!
I've been coming here for years (i also work for the company.) Last night, I stopped in to take a quick shot before I walked home, and the bartender was nasty and rude rolled her eyes at me because I asked for an esplon and forgot to say reposado and she had poured a quarter of an ounce into the glass before i stopped her. I've never felt more uncomfortable at local than the 5 minutes I was in there last night.
I live in North Carolina and planned for a couples weekend with friends in Columbus...a place I've never hung out. I sought out a live music venue on Google and came across The Savoy and so happy I did!!

I ordered the salmon tacos, and I did like the taste, but I would have preferred the salmon be cut into smaller pieces instead of large chunks. I also ordered sweet potato fries, and they were delicious. The cocktails are also good. Only complaint I have is regarding the service. The waitress went MIA for a while and our drinks were sitting at the bar, it was definitely not terrible service, but not excellent either.
The bartender was awesome tonight and made the best vampire kiss drinks ^_^
I’ve been into this establishment several times to either eat or drink. I was turned away this evening because I was wearing tennis shoes, the handful of other times I’ve been there I’ve seen people being let in with tennis shoes. I use to patronize this place until recently being inconsistent won’t get you too many more years in business.
The Savoy is our new spot for fun! Our favorite band The Jerry Powell Experience play every first Friday of each month is 5-stars! The Friday night karaoke is so fun and entertaining! We recently attended the C-Unit concert, which was amazing! Ohhh let’s not forget about the drama-free atmosphere and the food is delicious♥️
This was one of my favorite bars in the area. It was. Then, once I had to dispute the drinks on my charge, I was met with incredible hostility. I was not given any reason or understanding. One of the bartenders, who had been loudly saying my last name all night, was the first to call me out for not tipping on a tab I was not reasonably responsible for. I wanted to tip the proper 20% as I do but was trying to do that in the tab I actually paid for.
This can be responded to by the business, but make no mistake: when you are in the wrong, they will only protect themselves. If the excuse is that the bartender that had served me was now off the clock and drunk then you should think twice about trusting any of them. I was only trying to understand why I was charged more than I was, and I was met with hostility, mostly by the bartender that thought he was safe because he was off the clock. Regardless of if people I don't even know erroneously bought drinks on my tab, I was met with the worst and most aggressive staff you could ever come across at a bar that makes more money than I could ever excessively tip.

Favorite happy hour spot in Short North. Love that they have the roof open on nice days and the huge windows keep the fresh air flowing creating a great atmosphere.

My husband and I had a good experience here. Good drinks and great company!! The bathroom walls are also very intriguing. I definitely like the playboy covers that you have all over the bathroom walls as a wallpaper!!
Fun bar with some of the best drink prices in the Short North. Attracts a very diverse crowd, the digital jukebox keeps people dancing all night, and each time I've visited (about 4 times), the atmosphere has a positive vibe. Patrons are generally friendly, open to conversation, and do not cause trouble from my experience. I only downgraded my rating to 4 stars because they really could use another 2 bathrooms to avoid very long lines when it is busiest.

I went on Friday karaoke night. The crowd was a refreshingly grown and mature. I'll be back.
This place offers the coolest little mimosa bar. It's $25 and you get a bottle of champagne for your table and then you get to go up and make your mimosas. They offer different juices, herbs, candy, and fruit to pair with it and it's sooo good. We also ordered the pretzel sampler which was way more than we expected it to be. It comes with one regular pretzel and two stuffed pretzels (one spicy and one sweet) and three seperate dipping sauces! The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the brunch pizza. Not my favorite, a very cute idea but the taste just wasn't there for me. That being said I think if you have the choice you should definitely go here! They wholeheartedly deserve the attention!
Absolutely delicious food. Fantastic atmosphere and well priced. Bartender was quick to get us drinks, give us a menu when we asked and was very friendly. Highly recommend if you want a drink and good bar food. Their selection wasn't very big but for a bar it worked. Burgers, fries, onion rings were all Fantastic. Even was able to add pickles to a item that didn't have them listed as an option. I only mention that because I have had some smaller style bars or food places deny adding extras if they are not listed in the food description. Fantastic place, a short walk from the Hyatt convention center. Definitely will be eating again from them next time we are on an extended vist up here.
Location and food are great. Only thing I didn't like was that our food took forever but I would say was because of all the events that were going on during the weekends cause it was super crowded!!

Hark! I entered The Local Bar on yestereve and was sorely disappointed with mine experience. The ale was tepid and lackluster, and the ambiance was no better than a peasant's tavern. Verily, the staff was uninterested in providing quality service, and mine queries went unanswered. 'Tis a shame, for I had high hopes for this establishment. I shall not be returning.
I definitely recommend stopping by and tossing some darts. The food is good. The bar is attentive. The Space is big. I want to try more items on the menu but the Chips and salsa, Jalapeños poppers and Dill wraps were great! The bar is nice and big with nice options! I came back a week later to try the Swiss Mushroom Burger which was recommended to me with the steak fries! Everything looked and tasted amazing. Thank you guys!

A really fun neighborhood sports bar. It's very roomy with plenty of TVs. They have lots of pool tables, an air hockey table and even a basketball shooting game. We sat at the bar and had a blast with the bartenders and other patrons. We had a couple of appetizers. My favorite was the spicy deep fried cauliflower. Yum! They have a stage for karaoke night.
The food is the best food around town. I highly suggest the pizza or wings. I had the garbage fries the last time I was there to eat and wow were they great! The beer is always ice cold. For the area the bar is in, the people seemed to be decent people. I have been in here days and nights and have always felt safe. And dont forget to tip your bartenders, even if their grouchy!!!!
Five stars for the food here! The fries were incredible. They have a lovely seasoning. I only used dipping sauce (ranch) because they were so thick! I had the pulled pork Benedict and it was amazing. The blood Mary were very filling and some with a wonderful skewer. The mix was very thick and our first round didn’t have much ice, so we actually had to order a round. I didn’t taste the alcohol even though They had it “doubled” in the giant one. Great place to chill for the afternoon. We sat right in front, but the restaurant went deep. The beer selection was ok...I wouldn’t give it 5 stars, but I’m pretty particular.
As old downtown area bars go, this is our favorite. They open at 3:00 pm, (call ahead as this could change) and the kitchen, which serves tasty inventions, opens about 5:00.

We have had nothing but excellent food service here. I'm obsessed with their Tijuana Tub - A layed dip of creamy, cheesy, gooey & spicy jalapeno GOODNESS 🤤 Cheeseburger & fries and pizza are great also. Food is always made to order, therefore, always hot and fresh. No pics, but I'll take some next time.........
