All I can say what a magnificent building, from the lovely stonework on the exterior to the opulent marble on the interior, they do not build buildings with such character anymore, very impressed and lovely and helpful staff. I should also say, it is free to enter which is a huge plus and they have a viewing balcony on the 27th floor.
There is no need to book to get in either. All you need to do is turn up and go through security.

The Louisiana State Capital is a must see. The history and details of the architecture is fascinating. Join a tour and learn about what makes Louisiana’s capital so unique and special. You can also hop on the elevator and climb to the 27th floor to view the skyline of Baton Rouge.

Amazing capitol! You can explore both chambers, don't forget to take the elevator to 24th and then another one to 27th floor to check out the view. Incredible!

We didn't enter this Capitol building but we have entered and seen some other capitols from inside. The outside premises of this capitol were very nice. We parked here and took some short walks in the surrounding areas, the capitol garden etc. Nice and quiet atmosphere. We had our packed lunch inside our car and spent some great afternoon time in the capitol surroundings. Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful places to walk around as well as go inside to the top when they let you. The grounds are devoted to the memorial of the men and women lost who fought for our country.
