67 years in Shropshire and had never been here.
So well maintained and welcoming staff.
Brilliant audio tour to guide you through.
At the end a lovely tea room for refreshments. Brilliant!

Lovely day out.
The castle is really nice, it's got a lot more character than one that's been restored and overly touristy.
One thing I would suggest as an improvement would be to add internal lighting, I know it's not ideal however there are some quite dark areas particularly the stairs to the tower which makes it difficult to see where you're stepping.
It also made it difficult in some areas to read the information boards as the natural light wasn't fantastic.
Other than that the castle is great, fantastic vies of the surrounding area, the adjacent church is very pretty.

This place is magical. We visited with my husband when was pouring, but still been able to enjoy it. The day we visited was Sunday and surprisingly it was almost without visitors.
No need to pre-book tickets. Parking cost 3 quid plus entrance. For 2 people including parking it was around 25 quid if I remember correctly.

The receptionists were very nice to us.

On the entrance you will get a guide box, if you will want, which will introduce you to every part of the castle. Including some spots in the garden. There is some tiny stairs inside castle, therefore I do not recommend those who are afraid of tiny spaces. Unfortunately it is not very much allowing entrance for those on wheelchairs.

In general it is very nice place to stay for 2-3 hours, to discover inside and outside, beautiful views from the roof, but definitively not a whole day trip, unless you are traveling from far.

I will add some photos I managed to take on our visit.
I hope this review is useful for you guys.

Thank you for taking your time to read it.

We all loved the castle. Very impressive on multiple floors with lots of variations. Most rooms were BIG and all stone/oak, varied with different floor levels, windows, doors etcetera for interest/practicality. Quite outstanding and the grounds were equally impressive!
We all felt let down by the cafeteria though, small, unimpressive and not very good food. However we did get a table ok at a busy time and the dog was allowed in.

Lovely place well maintained. Not much exhibits within the big rooms but the buildings themselves look lovely. Only downside is no direct public transport from crave arms but it is walkable.

A must visit if you like medieval history, this fortified manor house is in excellent condition and is a very well looked after site. It is in a very scenic location with great views from the tower. There is an excellent tea room and gift shop, as well as a large car park. However, it is an easy walk from Craven Arms if travelling by train.

It's just amazing. The architecture is stunning and visible before entering the English heritage property. Volunteers are very kind and helpful, and the information provided is good. There are toilets and a small gift shop at the entrance of the property and English heritage tea room next to car park
Not suitable for people with restricted mobility as small steep steps and uneven surfaces. Dog friendly, although they cannot go inside buildings.
