Visited this place after a recommendation by a friend and I must say, it didn't dissapoint. Their most famous dish is the rice and curry lunch with crab curry. Other meat and seafood options such as chicken and cuttlefish are also available. The food is served fresh and hot on banana leaf which adds to the flavour of the food. One portion of meat or fish is enough for two people (unless you are a heavy eater). This is a good place to have lunch if you are ever in Pettah. However, it can be a bit tricky to locate so be sure to follow Google maps.

Whoa i was surprised what a nice cosy nostalgic indian place and great non veg food its a hidden gem in colombo every one should try but don't underestimate rhe price of the food though 🤣😂 slightly expensive but nothing over thr top its very equal to other places

Super local place! If you want to experience local cuisinne, you should definitely visit and try the food. Super delicious curry! One of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Cheep too.

Mayura hotel, Its not a vegetarian hotel, but kind like that, neatness, serving food in banana leaf, all are awesome, I had Chicken  rice, worth for price and also They Have Rice and curry options like Omelette, Fish,Fried Fish, Chicken, Cuttle Fish, Prawns and Crab All varieties are so Tasty.
They provide unlimited rice and side curries. They have two varieties of Rice hite Samba and Red Naadu. Red naadu rice is so good and tasty. Don't miss their omelet and rasam Reasonable Price for the quality of food. Highly recommended for who looking for a unlimited good Rice and curry in srilanka.

The most authentic Sri Lankan food experience you'd ever get in Colombo. The small joint is located in a busy, picturesque market area, right at the heart of Pettah historical district. The staff is—how to say—lovely. They'd personally take care of your food experience as your mom would, when you go back to your village family home after years of globe-trotting… For once, here's a Sri Lankan restaurant not obsessed with money—as if the staff's sole worry was to assure themselves that you eat their best food in the best conditions they can offer in this unpretentious, unobtrusive yet mostly welcoming place. Do try it.

Good place to have a meal for a change. Clean and nice to have food on a banana leaf. Nothing special to mentioned about the taste as i found it average. Cost wise i think it's way too high for a everyday meal. They do serve unlimited rice. For this plate(cuttlefish) the price was Rs.950 - June 2022

It is a great place for Sri Lankan north food. Excellent taste. Spices are to the point. Service is also really good. They are famous for crab Curry but you will like their prawns, mutton and etc as well. Price is average range. But definitely you will love their food
