We chose to break our fast at this restaurant based on numerous recommendations, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in Colombo. The staff showed an open disregard for service, with one particularly unfriendly individual informing us that our order would take an hour despite our pre-booking. It took nearly 40 minutes and multiple requests just to receive a simple glass of hot water.

Despite the very few crowd, the restaurant claimed to be overwhelmed, insisting on an hour-long wait. The food itself was poor, with fried items visibly contaminated with black specks from reused oil, resulting in a lack of flavor and warmth. Their chicken porridge resembled more of a chicken-flavored dhal curry, and even the presentation of their falooda lacked the finesse expected, served methodically mixed in a small glass rather than in distinct layers.

Witnessing another dissatisfied customer airing their grievances to a staff member further validated our disappointment. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.

To the management: Please take note of these concerns and strive for improvement, as the current state of activities resembles something out of Gordon Ramsay's "24 Hours to Hell and Back" restaurant transformation.

Yesterday, my colleagues and I visited Indian Summer for Iftar, recalling a previous delightful experience during last Ramadan. Despite our anticipation spurred by the advertised Iftar menu, our visit quickly soured. While we appreciated the complimentary dates, water, and kanji, the experience took a disappointing turn. The waiter’s attempt to upsell items not included in the Iftar menu was off-putting, compounded by the lengthy wait for our food. Furthermore, we were informed of the absence of labaan. When the food finally arrived, it failed to meet expectations.
The paneer curry had one micro piece of paneer. The naan was one plain naan which they conveniently failed to mention when advertising the Iftar menu. The prawn 65 was overly salty and seemed fried in stale oil. Additionally, the jeera rice was undercooked, accompanied by oily and salty battered potato and brinjal slices. The faluda was excessively sweet, and the gaajar ka halwa tasted peculiar.
I don’t know what their deal is but if they want to lure in customers for Iftar then they need to provide good food or not have an Iftar menu at all because these are customers who have not eaten for 13 hours. The staff acted like they didn’t even want us there. Such a horrible experience.

Indian summer restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants in town. It serves both veg and non veg dishes. The food is good. They had a nice atmosphere and the service was also good. Prices are average and value for money. Will surely visit this place again and try new different dishes.

The butter and garlic naan were a highlight, paired with a decent Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken Fried Rice was tasty. Food is prepared quickly, excellent customer service, and good vibes. Overall, a positive dining experience.

It was an okay experience. Waiters should attend outside seating area diners also, We had to go and tell them after multiple attempts to catch their attention just to order something to eat. I saw a typical Sri Lankan village vibe with the waiters they care only about the people who come with big vehicles and talk poshly.
The food was good.
Atmosphere okay.
Once in a while, some can visit this but for me, one was enough. Thank you.

The best place to dine in for authentic indian food lovers. Quite and calm place with less crowd. Staff is friendly and helpful. Butter naan, Chaan Masala and pistachio kulfi is the best. Chicken dum biriyani has a good portion and enough for two people. Masala tea is the worst we have ever tried. Not recommended it to anyone. Overall satisfied 🙂
