Visited kiku Colombo on the 7th of April 2024 and I don’t regret my visit for a second. It’s the 2nd time I’ve been there and I have nothing but good things to say about the atmosphere, service, food and even their music playlist is very chill. Love the entire vibe of the entire restaurant and their menu is quite unique, a bit more on the price-y side but I guess you have to spend good money to get good food and I feel the food was definitely worth the price.

I ordered the Rosemary and elderflower homemade soda with a side of their chicken karaage nuggets. The soda was out of this world with subtle notes of rosemary which paired so well with the floral hint and aroma of elderflower and was quite refreshing and sweet which is perfect for the current climate. The karaage on the other hand was quite enjoyable and crispy, but I found it a tad bit salty and felt like the sasebo mayo didn’t do the karaage justice but when paired with rosemary soda, it was well balanced rather than on its own.

Will 100% visit sometime soon, and shoutout to the staff for being very helpful and attentive to all that I wanted!

Well, honestly I was surprised by the ambiance. Loved it. Charm, calming and well lit. Smaller space but brilliantly planned and efficiently used. Staff were very well organized and pleasant.
I loved the Gin and Tonic pitcher. Both hibiscus and elderflower were really good. Food was average. I ordered the fried chicken and it was okay. Maybe you could do something about the food (taste and volume), don’t get me wrong the food is not bad, but there’s room to improve. Would visit again for sure!

Also, there’s a roof top with dim lighting, which is really cool. Cool place to have a smoke and a quiet drink.. or a party 😉

Located conveniently, this coffee shop features a professional barista setup with a La Marzocco machine, ensuring quality coffee with skilled latte art. It offers alternative milk and vegetarian options, though I haven't tried the baked goods or alcohol, both of which seem promising. There's a kids' play area with books and toys, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere.

The staff are friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant experience. My order was served promptly, and the staff went above and beyond by providing change for a tuk-tuk ride before I was even a customer. A welcoming spot for coffee lovers and families alike.

Lovely coffee shop in a great location. The coffee is really well made (they have a professional barista set up, with a La Marzocco machine), with skilled latte art.

Alternative milk options available, and vegetarian options too. I didn’t have any baked goods but I saw them on the counter and they look delicious. I also didn’t have any alcohol but I can see they have a good bar selection too. They also have a kids play area, with books and toys.

The staff is ultra friendly and very attentive. Food and coffee arrived in a good amount of time (no long waits). Staff even gave me small change so I could pay for my tuk tuk ride even before I sat down as a customer, which I really appreciate!

Hands down the best place for coffee in Colombo. Home of the infamous Temple Grounds roasters the coffee is certainly in my opinion the best offering on the island. Serving Japanese fusion cuisine, Kiku has a unique way of leveling up the usual suspects with a flare unmatched by any other restaurant/café. Honestly you cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu. Special shout out to the garden sodas on offer which are fantastic for the caffeine sensitive bunch as well as a solid bar menu with amazing cocktails adds to the variety. Topping it off the locations ambiance is also quite unique, with an excellent seating selection, decor and great music make for a good time every time.
