Visited this church while on vacation in New Orleans for the 7:30 pm mass on Sunday. It was beautiful and mass was short because it didn’t have a ton of attendees at the time. I sat in awe of the architecture and detail in this beautiful sanctuary. It is across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel. Definitely worth attending mass here! Priest was very warm and welcoming.

An incredibly warm beautiful church. The people are very welcoming. Nice, quiet place to pray and reflect.

Beautiful church, perhaps even more so than the Cathedral. The statue of the Blessed Mother above and behind the main altar is stunning. The blend of architectural styles is quite unique and beautiful. We were there for the Saturday Vigil Mass (4:00) and got there early. At 3:15 there was a tour (about 30 minutes) that was quite informative. I was surprised to notice that the Stations of the Cross are not found in the traditional way, but present above the windows. The windows too, tell the stories of various Jesuit saints, as the parish is run by them (and has been for quite sometime). The story behind the church is quite fascinating, and in some ways, quite miraculous that it is still standing.

Lovely church in downtown New Orleans! Feels wrong judging a church in a star system, since Jesus is sacramentally present in all Catholic Churches, but Immaculate Conception is one of my favorites in architecture, design, and presiders. Despite not being my parish, i love to visit in Sundays for 7pm mass and go to adoration and reconciliation right before that.

As for practical standpoints, it's a little hidden and hard to find at first, and parking is a little hard to find sometimes, but perfect for when your downtown and need some space for prayer.

Had never been and went twice same week, once Sunday also a Holy day. Father's sermons were well prepared and clear and insightful and relevant and useful. After Mass there was coffee so we went for it, and a very nice lady came right up to us and talked for the longest time and made us feel right at home, which we were:) And the Church itself is beautiful. Win all around.

My son and his lovely bride for their wedding last night. Beautiful mass. Holy place. Two priests are brothers and service was very personal.

Incredible is one way to describe this. In the morning of my late Father's nameday (Gregory) we walked with my fiancée for breakfast and discovered this gem to have our morning prayer. An amazing marriage of Catholic and Moorish architecture well fit for any religion morning prayer, for I am Christian Orthodox.
