Eataly Munich

We only had the gelato and crepe' so I don't want to rate for what should be the restaurant in there.
What a place though, the smells are divine and the crepe' was amazing and fresh and soft.
There was sooo much chocolate. We did go back before we left to load up on fresh Italian cusine, which seems like a little gem in the middle of Germany.

Location is great, near the city centre and other local shops. Easy to get to and surrounded by great stores.
Service was amazing, timing was great, and attentiveness was perfect.
Food, I found the mushroom pasta bland and lacking taste. Maybe just my palate and the way it was made. But there was no taste even when there was cheese. And my peer had the same sentiment. Wine was great! And the antipasti - burrata and cheese board was also great! Cant go wrong with bread and olive oil. Tiramisu was perfect, one of the best Ive tasted.

The pasta tasted really good but the pizza was normal. For the quality, the quantity and the service, it is very expensive to eat here

Caesar salad for €25 that really has nothing in common with caesar, some mustard sauce, dry chicken, carrots. Could not eat it. Service is overall unprofessional, unfriendly and does not care at all about customers. Overall €70 for a really bad lunch.

I’ve been a few times now - because I had some nostalgic memories of Eataly - but the restaurant experience has always been mediocre to bad so far. This is also why I want to write a review now. The service is really unprofessional and unfriendly - starting from the weird non welcoming host to the indifferent waiters (only men for some reason) and generally being ignored all the time, the food quality is ok but not worth the prices charged combined with that service. Every time I went something made me feel unhappy and that’s not great for a restaurant. Tonight I didn’t even tip because I felt they really hated having us as customers. That was my last time there for sure.

We were a group of 6 people and a reservation was done beforehand. We got some appetizers and Aperol spritz before the main course.

Overall the appetizers were great, it was tasty, made fresh but the Aperol was a bit watery (maybe a bit too much ice and less of other stuff), but for me the pizza was a bit of a disappointment. I had the buffala mozzarella pizza and safe to say I have had better.

Nevertheless, the weather was nice, the serving staff were curtious and always smiling and attended to our needs very quickly. It was an evening so it was still crowded but they are doing the best they can with the space available.

Ate dinner here with an Italian friend and he said the pizza was very authentic. I had the meat platter to start which was nice. My pizza was pretty good but I have had better hence the 4/5 review rating.
