A nice small pub in Edinburgh. Stopped for a pint that went down well. There is a lot of history associated with this pub and why it is called the last drop. Worth a visit to quence that thirst. Also read the sign on the door to find out why its called the last drop.

Went here for lunch. Had Cullen Skink and Cranachan. Both were delicious!
The atmosphere was great and staff was absolutely amazing! I had this place on my list of pubs to visit, and I was not disappointed! Do yourself a favour and visit them!

A surprisingly cozy and authentic pub right in the middle of Grassmarket. It's amazing how untainted so many pubs are in the most touristy sections of Edinburgh. When I stopped in for a pint, there were some great musicians playing live traditional music in the front corner. Can't beat a pint of cask ale and some live music.

A pub in Edinburgh called “The Last Drop” is a must-visit place. It is a place with a rich history, where people used to be hanged on the gallows. But don't worry, nowadays it's a place where you can enjoy a drink and a snack. The pub is super atmospheric and beautifully decorated, and clearly shows the historical significance of the place. It is a place where you can immerse yourself in Scottish culture.

I heard they have a delicious veggie burger made from cauliflower and kale. If you are a meat eater, you should definitely try this burger. It's so tasty that you won't even miss the meat. And if you like gin, they have an exciting selection of premium gins to choose from.

So if you are in Edinburgh, go to “The Last Drop” and enjoy the atmosphere and history of this unique pub. It is a place where you will definitely have a good time. 🍻

The Last Drop stands out among Edinburgh's pubs due to its haunting theme. Located near the historic execution site in Grassmarket, it carries a dark history from the time of King Charles II. The area witnessed frequent hangings until February 4, 1784, with James Andrews being the last person executed. The pub's name is a grim reference to the last drink taken by prisoners before their execution. Interiors tell this chilling tale with pictures, stories, and hanging loops. While I didn't try the food, the compelling theme alone made it a worthwhile spot to enjoy drinks. 🍻

Traditional food, good and quite fast service. The cullen skink was surprisingly good, the haggis was also really nice as well as the fishcakes and the ribeye steak. The cranachan dessert was weird and not sure if it was done properly because it was the first time I had it, it was just a full glass of cream topped with very sour sauce. The service was decent but a man wanted to turn us down at the entrance saying they don’t have any table. Lucky we insisted because they actually did. No booking required also but it seems like all the other Nickolsons pubs want a booking and we were sent away by 2 of them before we found the last drop.
