The Ross Center has changed my life. I was previously at another therapist that location closed down, and followed the therapist to this clinic. I have been in the DBT program and it has helped so much, that I feel like a different person and am able to control my emotions. I highly recommend DBT to anyone who is thinking about it if you qualify. Also, my current therapist is amazing.

I highly recommend avoiding this practice altogether. Absolute cash cow. They cancelled my appointment on me with NO notice AND charged me for the full appointment (which I honestly don’t believe is fully legal). They claimed they sent me an email about needing forms to be filled out (which I did not receive). I have NEVER had this experience before with a provider. Shady practice - please avoid.

I have been very impressed with the Ross Center! The Ross Center has a team of around 50 doctors plus
numerous support staff. After I contacted them, the Ross Center was able to immediately manage my care. After submitting my history, I was assigned a doctor who was talented, attentive and communitive. A numerous, friendly support staff is always available to answer questions and to guide the administrative process.

Meeting with a doctor at this center was ultimately the worst decision of my life. I was having trouble sleeping, and they prescribed me an Rx *off-label* to try to help. I voiced concerns about the off-label use, but the doctor assured me that it was "low risk, not addictive, and that I could stop taking the medication at any time" and that "at low doses not all of the properties of the Rx are activated". Both of these statements were WRONG - not only did the Rx make my sleep worse, it created an artificial anxiety and other horrible side effects that wreaked havoc on my life. I only took the Rx for less than 3 weeks. During that time I shared my concerns with the Dr. who advised me to keep taking the Rx and even DOUBLE the dose at one point (HORRIBLE advice - see comment about low dose above). I tried taking it as directed, but it made me feel so bad that I had to stop. Dr. again said this was ok to stop immediately without tapering (again, WRONG), which then caused significant side effects from the "withdrawal" even though I only took the Rx a couple weeks. The Rx also severely agitated me among many other side effects for which the risk was never discussed with me. Of course, what does the Dr. advise as the solution? To try MORE meds to counteract the side effects of the previous. So ridiculous.
I suspect the business will be quick to to dismiss this review as having a bad reaction to medication. Why I think the Ross Center deserves 1 star is because the doctor did not appropriately educate me about potential side effects, and on multiple occasions gave horrible advice that was just plain wrong and incorrect. It has taken me nearly a year to recover from their negligence.
In the end, I spent a ton of $$$ with the Ross Center to make myself much, much worse off. I know it sounds dramatic, but I feel lucky to be alive after the hell they put me through.

I've had a great experience all around from office staff to my therapist. Highly recommend

I did not have a "chance " to be seen at this center. I understood that there was a wait-list. I was called and told that they had a therapist for me and then asked my age. She told me that the therapist only saw people in their thirties. I was older. Then the receptionist said she would check to see if the therapist would make an exception which she said she would. I involved the office manager who said she would find me someone else. In the meantime I found Neuroscience in Herndon, very professional.

The Good - The Therapists. My therapist was phenomenal and I could not recommend a better person for people who are dealing with Phobias.
The Bad - The administrative staff. They are quite confusing, and frequently forget to send you the receipts to your visits. Even after emailing requesting the receipts, they sometimes won't answer so you may have to call them to get a response. This wouldn't normally be as big of an issue, except they don't take insurance, so you need to the receipts to try and get insurance to pay for any of it. You'll definitely need that because they are very expensive.
