Happy Family Dominican Restaurant

Happy Family Restraunt in Cabarete has the most delicious food, full of flavor and portion sizes are huge. We stopped in there late one weeknight so the place wasn't crowded. The staff greeted us with smiles and were very attentive to us all evening. Prices were very reasonable. We ate and drank for less than 1200RDP or about $18 US. We will definitely return. Highly recommend this place.

We are a group of European tourists who went here hoping for a Dominican atmosphere and food. We got exactly what we were looking for! Very nice service.

Had the best Mofongo. However, when more from our group went back later, it didn't taste the same. Which means they must have switched out the chef. If they stayed consistent with the garlic/seasoned style, they would be known for it. Hope they see this!

My favourite Dominican restaurant in Cabarete. They offer a mix of Italian, Dominican, Meat and fish meals and all is fantastic with fair pricing. Located on the corner of the callejon, it's an authentic atmosphere and the family dog is a great addition. Love this place.

A very kind, lovely and family atmosphere and service. They offer local cuisine as well as pasta etc.
My partner got a traditional Mofongo. I am vegetarian and they were happy to make a vegetarian Mofongo for me which was very tasty. Would recommend to go there if you can!

It has been a while since I have been in Cabarete and Happy Family wasn’t around back then. I saw it had great reviews, a presence on social media and the menu looked awesome. The first time I went it was raining and I only had the fish soup. It was everything I hoped for and more. It was comforting for the weather and made to order. I stopped in again because I have been wanting lambí since I returned and I’m glad I chose Happy Family to get it from. I ordered it al ajillo and it was so delicious, came with a side ( I chose tostones ) and a little salad. The owners are a local family, are very friendly, accommodating and have great service- something hard to find around here lol I will 100% be going back again before I leave. If you’re visiting Cabarete- this is definitely one place to try! And if you live here and haven’t gone yet, go!! :)
