Visited today for the first time and had a fantastic experience! The owner was very knowledgeable and gave great tips and advice for this first time chicken owner. Will definitely be back to purchase all our supplies, thank you

I'd been shopping at this store for about a year, with no incident. One day I came in to buy bedding hay & pullet grower for my new chooks. During this time, I had problems with the payWave on my phone & because I knew this, I brought my wallet with my physical cards, which I normally don't use. When lining up to pay, the payWave twice rejected the transaction. There were customers waiting behind me, so I attempted in haste to find the correct card. I fumbled somewhat to pay (first removing adhesive stickers on the cards to distinguish the Debit from the Credit card). Within all the confusion, I think it could have been a strong possibility that I left the wallet on the counter, as this was the only time I used it & I checked everywhere for it already, exhausting all possibilities imaginable.
I contacted the store for help, asking if they had seen the wallet. They said no, fair call. Then I eventually went in-store & explained the situation to the same man who served me. At first he didn't want to hear me out, but I calmly stated my case, that I wasn't trying to blame anyone, that I only needed their help in finding a starting point of what happened to the wallet by asking to review the CCTV footage (who knows, a customer could have taken it..?) & that I would offer a reward if anyone did find it. The man agreed to take my contact details & said his boss would contact me the next day, but she never did.
When I called her the day after waiting all day for her call, she completely took me by surprise, immediately going into defensive mode & talking to me quite rudely... she was completely uncooperative, hardly allowing me to put any word in, even when I appealed several times to her to just hear me out & she threatened to simply hang up on me. She basically accused me of being aggressive to her worker, upsetting him by accusing her worker of stealing my wallet, & that she didn't have CCTV & she wouldn't show me even if she had it. She also made an incredible value judgment, that all her customers are honest. I was shocked. I was never rude to her worker & very surprised the owner would treat any of her customers like this! If I was at all rude or aggressive, the worker at the counter would have refused to take down my details. Certainly my first time of showing me the worst possible customer experience in my 50 years of life!! I will never go to this store again & what's more, actively discourage anyone I know to do the same.
Judging by various negative Google reviews online, it seems that her rudeness & disrespect to her customer is the main problem in her own business! On the other hand, if you would like to be treated like trash by this woman, then shop here & lap it up đ

Went in to buy a couple of chooks, left very happy and the man serving was very knowledgeable and helpful. As first time chook owners we appreciated his help and patience. Chooks now home and doing great!

Really disappointed. Been buying my chicken supplies for years. Bought a new chicken water feeder, filled it up and it leaked. Took it back for replacement, was told the boss will have to look at and will call me back the next day. After no call back and me calling them 3 times on 3 different days they said the boss said no because they say itâs been used. So very disappointed that they think Iâm lying and that they would choose to loose my business for approx $35. Wonât be buying anything from them in future.
New info: went back to collect the feeder they wouldnât replace and the always nice salesman replaced my broken feeder with a new one. Appreciate that he did this, but unfortunately I feel I wonât be back.

Attempted twice now to buy chickens and women in store was quite rude, tried selling me ISA browns when I wanted a varied selection, told me all other breeds were either unsexed, too young or already sold. When I asked when the young ones were ready was accused of only wanting pretty chickens, not sure why thatâs a bad thing? So went elsewhere and bought from a Breeder Couple Wyandotteâs and an Australorp. On adding to my flock went there again thinking maybe she had a bad day. This time couldnât sell me anything as everything was either sold or not ready, put me on a wait list and told me it would probably be ISA Browns! Needless to say wonât be back. Just bought two more Wyandottes and a Barnevelder from breeders.

Worst service Iâve had in Adelaide. My partner and I have been trying to buy at least one chicken there about five times. The lady that works there always has an excuse, saying she canât sell us any chickens. Either theyâre âtoo youngâ or theyâre âmaybeâ sold? She is very rude. I feel sorry for the animals that are in poor conditions and unsafe environments. I also feel sorry for whoever works for this horrible lady.
