la Madeleine

I remember when the balsamic chicken was roasted in the restaurant and carved hot when you order the Balsamic marinaded chicken Caesar salad and the person would carve the chicken while the chicken was hot and then pour the restaurant made Caesar dressing . All the bakery items were freshly baked and everything was made hot and fresh well all that is over now . Chicken is prepacked and cold it does not even look the same . Lettuce is old and prepackaged and they don’t toss it . Horrible !!! I never coming back. This was my favorite place to go with the kids on a hot summer day . So sorry it’s over

My first time eating here. I ordered a cup of potato country soup (sorry I took this picture after having my soup), a crêpe with chicken, and a mini fruit tart. Everything was delicious!
I also want to thank to the pleasant gentleman who works there; he greeted me at the door and spoke in French with me.

I just want to say that I'm very disappointed in the quality/freshness of the avocado they served me in my Chicken Riviera sandwich. There was only one viable bite of decent avocado after I pulled out all the rotting pieces. Whoever prepared it obviously saw the state of the avocado and didn't care and served it anyways. I showed the staff on the way out. Hopefully they will make note and improve quality of ingredients

The renovations have taken all the charm out of the place. The lighting is bright and sterile. The interior could now be any other fastfood chain. I was just in France and the restaurant at the gas station had more charm (seriously, my friend and I were on a long road trip so we ate at the gas station and we kept commenting on how nice it was.)

Came in on a Sunday around 11. Took about 20 mins in line to get our order in, then another 35 mins till the food came out. Literally order 2 things, sandwiche and a thanksgiving meal. Both were serviceable although a little greasy.

Overall just okay, would probably give them another star if order and getting the food didn't take a whole hour.

Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Very much enjoyed the French Breakfast at La Madeleine! The cappuccino was also very well made with more foam than milk (était parfait ^.^) The place was a bit dusty due to the construction going on, but that didn't detract from our lovely meal.

Wasn't what I remembered. I used ti frequently visit the Columbia MD location and the Reston VA spot. Speaking of the Columbia location I have to say it was disappointing. It was 2 PM on a Friday post lunch crowd. My food took extremely long and came out cold, seriously it was cold (ham and cheese crepe).
