Neighborhood is a bit dodgy, but this is probably the most convenient beach for people in eastern Queens. Free parking and close walk to the beach! ⛱️
The entrance from the boardwalk to the beach is very hazardous. There is no safe and secure ramp/stairway to go down. It looks like a man made path with about a 2ft drop/hole. Very annoying and unsafe.

Beautiful views breathtaking sunsets. Great place to relax and unwind, rarely crowded. pet friendly. just bring snacks and drinks, there are no concessions or stores nearby.

Very nice park for the kids. Nice new playground with slides and stuff. The other side is a small waterpark. It would be 5 stars but some of the sprinklers weren't working anymore. The waterpark could use some maintenance
We went for a walk and get some fresh air. Scenery is very beautiful and peaceful. Not too much people on the board walk may be due to covid. Its good to get out of the house. I usually start to walk 🚶♂️ from beach 9th and go to beach 59th street, and then walk back to beach 9th . Its just under 5 miles and I am getting my carbio in while enjoying the scenery of the ocean. I particularly like to walk early in the morning or late in the afternoon before the sun comes out or when the sun is going down. That sun could put a serious beating on your face.
