It's beautiful place to visit with family kids nice little play ground with nice view of the lake and back of jfk airport. But needs some work done some place are broken. Needs new kids swings renovate the play area little more it will be nice place to visit.

Wow! I lived on Beach Channel Drive in the early 1960's...I smoked my first cigarette when this park was sand dunes..went to Far Rockaway HS for 1 year..we moved to the Bronx. Looks wonderful...left NYC in 1983....miss the Big Apple and it's diversity...people and food ! My friend Miriam Lassinger's father owned a kosher deli on Mott Ave and we'd it free frankfurters...across the street was a pizza place..25cents for a slice and a Coke. Another place had a battel of yummy pickles one for 5 cents. Any restaurants offering conch stew ?
Bayswater Park is a spacious area that has a variety of recreational activities to be involved in.
I enjoyed my short visit, I sipped on a cup of coffee and read a few articles In the early hours when it was quiet and not much going on. I actually like this park, it's great for exercise and many other recreational activities.

The city always has something nice set up for the children. My kids always have a blast!
This park is beautiful and spacious. The grounds are kept clean, and they have clean bathrooms. The park has courts for baseball, basketball, tennis, handball and they also have a skatepark. There is a play area for kids and a splash pad that is on during warmer weather. It is far from the city but if you are looking to get a little ways out but atay close this would be a great spot. It's also next to a state park which has some pretty views.
