South City Kitchen Avalon

We hosted our 65 + consultants at the Hotel Avalon for a staff training and chose this spot for our dinner gathering. Heather was TOP NOTCH!! From the planning to the execution her staff was 10-10. It required fast feet and they did not disappoint. When planning events we can’t mess around and they understood the assignment. Hands down … book it!

Such a fun place for a family birthday gathering. The staff, food, entertainment, and ambience were exactly what we wanted and needed. Highly recommend for a good, all-around brunch experience. The ability to reserve a place and the flexibility of the service was so nice.

Visited for a birthday brunch. Wasn’t too busy, but I’d recommend reservations. The had a live band (trio) to entertain guests. Three of us had the short rib skillet which was great (the sweet potatoes added a sweet taste). One other had chicken and waffle which she enjoyed. Very good service and a nice visit overall. Will definitely go back again!

One of the top 3 places to eat in Alpharetta! Outstanding service and impeccable attention to details. Food is delicious and truly original . Must visit. Indulge yourself with great experience.

Great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service and great food. The restaurant is located at the heart of Avalon which itself is very close to the GA 19 highway. There is a parking deck within a few yards and a couple of more within walking distance. We really like their take on traditional southern dishes, the fried chicken being my favorite. We try this place at least a few times a year.

The service was poor
Tried fried chicken it was good but too much of potato and green in it for one dish , more protein quantity would have been better , brussel sprouts was bland no spices/ flavour ..! I might try for brunch again as it’s popular place for brunch
For dinner there was not a lot of menu options so I wouldn’t recommend this place

The service was excellent, lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed the drinks and some of the food. The Caesar salad was very bland and basic and the brussel sprouts were burnt. We will come back but try another dish.
