The Allamanda Terrace

The experience was too good, Sachin was a very good host. Ambience is superb, especially during sunset and evening you can see Queen’s necklace.

All looks, no game.

The terrace had a great atmosphere and overlook of the marine drive with plants and aesthetic lighting elements to further support the calmed and relaxed environment.

At the lobby, a staff member had allowed us to come to the terrace at the sixth floor, and had said the bar would open in half an hour.

My table had waited for around an hour until the bar had opened and the drinks had arrived shortly after being ordered. Unfortunately the glasses were not clean and had stain marks on them. We had decided to leave and had asked for the bill; which took 25 minutes to arrive.

To compact my review in a shortened format, the actual place was great, the view, vibe, and atmosphere were impeccable, but the service and menu were quite lacking and was not appealing or appetising.

Eye catching view of Queens Necklace ir Marine Drive. Food is decent and spacious seating good for family as well as large groups.

This place is just for view.

Menu is really limited and there is very less food variety.

Food quality is ordinary.

Service is okay.

View is AMAZING.. 🤩

Allamanda terrace looks very serene and has gorgeous views. It is very dreamy and has a beautiful view of Marine drive. It is located at hotel marine plaza. I really loved their huge ambience, which also has pool near dining

In terms of the food we had ,
- Bhatti ka paneer
- Murgh chandni tikka
- Lamb and jalapeño seekh gilafi
- Chooza khas makhni
- Gosht Lahori

Everything we had was very tasty , hearty and indulgent . I liked the flavours and aroma . It’s very evident that everything is freshly made with great quality of ingredients . We also had their unique desserts malpua bites with rabdi and dates pudding kataifi . Drinks were also great in taste !
This place is really good for dinner dates with friends or family .
With new year around the corner Allamanda terrace is perfect for all your dinner needs !!!

If u r looking for a reasonably priced rooftop restaurant in a 4 star/ 5 star hotel visit this place... currently they have limited food options..
Ambience is very good, the entire coast line from nariman point to walkeshwar is visible. U will enjoy The views of The queen's necklace.
Good place for couples and groups...
The food is fairly good...the mains had a majority of north Indian and mughlai dishes. U ll get a fair variety of starters, Mediterranean and Indian..
Liked the place more for its ambience where u can spend some quality time with your loved ones over drink n food. Very peaceful..staff is courteous.

We wanted to visit Allamand Terrace since a very long time & finally we made it. Located on 6th floor of Hotel Marine Plaza, this place is perfect for your romantic date with your loved ones. You will get to see the complete top view of Marine drive & queen's necklace.
Talking about the service, it was the best. Ms. Mamta displayed an example of great hospitality & made sure we have a memorable experience. She was bang on with her recommendations of Jain dishes as per our taste buds. She is truly amazing. Chef Rajendra also cooked delicious food according to our preference.

They also have a big projector right above the pool so you can enjoy live screening of matches along with your loved ones with soft music playing in the background.

Coming to the food, they serve only North Indian food with cocktails & mocktails. Price wise it expensive but its worth it.

We started with mocktails & opted for our favourite Virgin Pina Colada & Exotic punch. Both were refreshing, thick & creamy. Totally loved it.

In appetizers we had

Bhatti ka paneer (Jain)-
Soft cottage cheese marinated with thick delicious marination made from different spices, hung curd & grilled to perfection. The portion size was quite enough for two people & totally worth the money. It was perfectly cooked & paneer was also tender & full of flavours. Add little lemon on top & have it with mint chutney.

Za'atar dahi ke kebab-
These tangy kabas made from Hung curd, minced chillies, grated ginger and spices were soft from inside and super crispy from outside. Have it with mint chutney and onions. These were made in Jain by chef on request. 4 kababs are served but these are really big and worth the money with a view. Loved it..!!

In Main course we ordered two sabji one jain & one veg.

Bocconcini Khurchan (Jain)-
This was made in Jain.
One of the best sabji we had. It was made with bell pepper & small round
pieces of mozzarella tossed in rich thick tomato gravy. It was a bit sweet and not spicy spicy at all. It goes well with Cheese Naan. Highly Recommended..!!

Punjabi Chole Wadiyan- Delicious chole along with wadi cooked in Punjabi style. It was spicy and the taste of Kasuri Methi in it was a cherry on the cake. Loved it with Chur Chur laccha paratha and also goes best with Jeera Rice.

Desserts

Dates Pudding Katafi-
Dry Dates were soaked & cooked with ghee with lots of dry fruits & mawa. Later it was rolled in vermicelli and baked till perfection. 3pcs were served along with Shrikhand. The presentation of the dish was very captivating to the eyes. It was not much on sweeter side.

We also tried Baked Gulab Jamun Shrikhand Tart & Rasmalai Tiramisu.
Loved the tart more. The tart was perfectly baked & mini gulab jamun totally elevated the taste of this. Dessert. A must try.

Please note the restaurant is open everyday from 7.30pm to 11pm. Though on social handle it says it is closed. Prior reservation is recommended.
