Sue is so kind and thoughtful - I'm so grateful that we found her! She helped us through all the planning and was proactive in making sure we had what we needed! We appreciated having her make our special day that much sweeter!
Sue is phenomenal. Her open heart and wide smile will welcome you right in.Her team is great as well. The food is perfect, everything tastes exactly as pictured..as funny as that might sound . If you look at a picture of their items and wonder if it tastes as good as it looks,it does &BETTER. 10/10 This will forever be our bakery.
Incredible service, delicious cake, and awesome allergen-free baking!
My wife wanted to have a funeral for her 20's for her 30'th birthday, and the people at Awesome Sweets were not only totally on board, but offering suggestions and options to make sure the cake turned out exactly how my wife wanted. We wanted to make sure there was something for everyone in the cake, so I asked for half chocolate, half vanilla, and a cookies & cream filling. The cake was baked perfectly and was decorated so amazingly the reaction was priceless when I brought the whole tombstone out from the kitchen. The entire party couldn't stop raving about how good it was, and we made sure people got a chance to take slices to go!
I also asked for a half dozen nut, dairy, egg, and gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting for my friends with severe food allergies. I was nervous letting the staff know about how difficult it is to find desserts that I'm comfortable giving my friends because of how severe their reactions can be, but they assured me they are very careful with their preparation and have recipes specifically designed for allergen-free baking. Not only were they indeed allergen-free, they were so delicious my friends ate them all before I finished my slice of cake, so I didn't even get a chance to try it myself.
All in all, I think the staff really delivered on their namesake, giving my wife and I some truly Awesome Sweets!

Okay this place is seriously awesome. My family’s usual tree nut-free bakery was closed on the day of and before my mom’s birthday. I scrambled to find a nut-free bakery as my brother is deathly allergic to tree nuts, and when I finally found Awesome Sweets they were able to accommodate my last-minute same day request! They made the cake look BEAUTIFUL, better than I expected, and the taste? My whole family was RAVING (myself included of course) about how delicious it was! We all agreed it was even better than our usual bakery. The employees I spoke to were so kind and pleasant to talk to, and they even gave me a freebie cupcake (though I wouldn’t say to expect one - just a nice gesture after I donated to their fundraiser for breast cancer research). It’s a bit out of our way over in MA, but so worth it! We’ll definitely be back.
Our wedding cake was sooo delicious!! We had golden cake with raspberry filling and ivory vanilla buttercream frosting. So happy that I met these amazing ladies at the RI Bridal Show. The samples at the bridal show were delicious and moist (I detest that word but I mean really you do want a moist cake!) and that was what I found at the tasting as well as the final product. The tasting was unique with six different cupcake flavors, six different fillings and six different frostings. I made a blind taste test sheet and bride, groom, and family all voted. We had a tie for the golden cake and the red velvet for taste and ended up going with the traditional look of golden cake. We ordered a large three tier cake and a sheet cake which was more than enough to serve our 120 guests. Highly recommend and I will be stopping in soon for a cupcake!
Such a fantastic job on my son's first birthday cakes. Cute, yummy and reasonably priced.. especially considering it was a late order. Definitely recommend. They also did a fantastic job on my daughter's birthday cake and class cupcakes
Awesome Sweets was highly recommended by our venue for our wedding cake because we needed a vegan, nut free cake. Although
we had never worked with them, we trusted the
recommendation. And let me say, Awesome Sweets did not disappoint! Our wedding came was delicious. We opted for a semi-naked tall chocolate cake with berry filling. We're
looking forward to defrosting it for our 1 year
anniversary.
