The collection of work was well presented and organized. It takes a museum like this to help in understanding the history and cultural influences of Moldova. It pays to do a bit of research online before attending to allow more time for viewing.

The employees are terrible.
Kicked us out even though we payed for our photo ticket. We haven’t photographed the exhibits, but ourselves.
And even though we didn’t do anything prohibited, they demanded a bribe for 150€.

Here are the rules and there’s nowhere written that you cannot photograph people

Nice museum to visit when you’re in Chișinău. The entrance fee is also fair, especially when you’re a student.

The largest art museum in Moldova. The collection includes works by both Moldovan and international artists. Notable sections of the museum's collection include European art, Russian art, and Moldovan art from various periods. It has 3 floors and the paintings, sculptures, old and new art are nicely blending together. The interior of the museum is renovated preserving interesting architecture. Entrance is 10 MDL and you have to pay extra 15 MDL if you want to take pics. Overall, nice visit and totally worth it to emerge yourself in local history and art.

The museum really exceeded my expectations with its art collection. I suggest setting aside around 1-2 hours to see all the exhibitors. The ticket costs only 10 lei (2 euros) and can be bought at the entrance. We visited it on a weekday and there were no queues. It was also nice to see the students painting in the museum.

Nice selection of artwork from 1800s all the way to the modern era (there was an exhibition of Moldovian artists from 2022)

Entrance was 10 Lei, and about an hour is enough time to see the collection if you don't linger around each peace too long.

Very beautiful architecture of the building itself!
