It's advertised as 3 floors of fun but it's really only 2. The third floor simply doesn't have anything to do.
We visited on 4/27/2024 with a 1 and 2 year old. Both were entertained and seemed to have a decent time. I think it should have been cheaper for the 2 year old but overall the prices are in line with every other expensive post Covid price these days.

We had the Playhouse reserved for a family event through Skip Along child development where the families could come in and enjoy some time together. I was quite impressed with the things that the playhouse had to offer and it's definitely a great place to bring your kiddos so they can explore and learn some things! I absolutely love all the different activity centers that they had were the kiddos had things that they could interact with like the piano bridge, the water table, the train track, and the ballroom. So much fun stuff to do and I highly recommend bringing your child!

This was a fun space that was pretty fun for our 2 year old. There were some exhibits that we skipped as they seemed too advanced for him, but they looked like they'd be a hit I'm the future! The area leading up to The Peoria Playhouse/Park District grounds was a bit run down, but the actual area was as well-kept as it can be for a cold January day. The staff was nice and very interactive. We'll be back!

We came here after going to the zoo. We are from MN and I have never been to place like this. Super cute and so much for the kids to do. Great for all ages. We had kids with age range from 3- 13 and they all enjoyed themselves. I wish we had a place like this in my hometown. 3 levels inside of all sorts of hands on activities. I didn't have to worry about my kid breaking something as it was all built with kids in mind. Loved that they had bins for "dirty" toys and they had hand sanitizer throughout. I did think the price was pretty high but if I lived closer, a membership would be reasonable. Hightly recommend going!

This is a great spot to spend several hours with a busy toddler. There are so many different play areas that appeal to different interests. My 2yo loves the kinetic sand area upstairs & the train & water play areas downstairs. It’s directly next to the Peoria zoo so if you really want to make a full day of fun, you can easily visit both.

First, let me start off by saying the only reason that this place got four stars instead of five was because they did not have outlet covers in the majority of their outlets that were easily accessible to the children. If you're going to have a place where hundreds of children of different ages come into play daily, you need to have all the safety precautions that you can have. With that being said, it was everything I expected. The main level and lower level have all of the toys, activities and hands-on experiences while the top floor is reserved for more quiet type space with some books and bean bag chairs. Among some of the things to do were a nice sized water play area, sand play area, 'magic' ball and tube area, and of course, grocery store daycare, movie theater, dentist and farm area plus more.
The most unique thing on the main floor is the giant floor keyboard with flashing colored lights. It is something to experience and all of the children that were there seemed to love that area!
The best thing about the Playhouse is there are at least two separate areas within the lower and main floors that allow for small children to be semi isolated and play with the same sort of toys but yet don't have to worry about being accidentally run over by older children.
Be aware though that they do not allow strollers, so you would have to park your stroller outside which in Peoria -'m sorry to say- is probably not a good idea, so leave the stroller at home.
It is well worth the cost to get in and I would recommend if you have more than two children or you plan to go more than two or three times a year that you definitely buy a membership. That would save you some money!

I absolutely love this place. I bought a membership for my grandkids and added a caregiver so the parents can take them too. There is so much to do and learn. From farm life, and learning about agriculture, to learning how water moves. Making movies and the craft rooms are incredible. My two year old granddaughter loves the playhouse and asks to see the baby dolls that are in the play kitchen. It’s clean very well organized, the membership literally pays for itself in just a few trips. There are picnic tables nearby to go out and have a picnic. There are two playgrounds nearby and the Peoria zoo. Well worth coming for a visit!
