After returning from my trip to Japan, I was really missing Japanese food so I decided to check out Maruichi, a small Japanese grocery store. Everything is very reasonability priced, even slightly cheaper than surrounding Asian grocery stores. They have some Japanese products that aren't in major Asian grocery stores too.

They do sell some food, like onigiri ($3-4!), and drinks (cold and hot). They sell other Japanese products including alcohol, kitchen supplies, snacks, seasonings, and more. Service was also friendly.

I went there with my friends many times to find ingredients or snacks.

While I was there, I saw and grabbed few strawberry milks which were hard to find & reasonable price in the area, bought some snacks and tried their desserts.

Will come back for more!

I’m so glad there are parking spaces available. And I feel so good when I come here and see all those Japanese products and foods. They sell fresh vegetables from Japan, too.

Small Japanese grocery store that somehow packs a ton of good stuff into it. Japanese seasonings and soup stocks. A variety of sweet and savory snacks. Frozen goods like fish cakes, mochi, and dumplings. Drinks and desserts. Dried mushrooms and seaweed. Curry and stew base boxes. Furikake. Alcohol. A small section with cookware and beauty products. It’s a cute store packed with stuff, and the staff were friendly. I’d come more often if I lived closer!!

Great selection of Japanese imports, as well as bakery items and frozen foods. Milk tea and coffees available in a warmer, a real treat. Great produce but show up early because they go quickly.

The prices here are a bit higher than your average asian grocery store, but it was still fun to look around and explore. While they sell mostly food products, there were also some cosmetics and cooking/cleaning tools.

Parking is easiest in the rear. Nice selection of seedlings, great frozen food choices, things I haven’t tasted for years. They also carry health and beauty aids. I think I go there mostly to restock on the wasabi nametake.
