Garden State Parkway Park and Ride

Taking the NJ Transit bus #165 to New York City from here is convenient once you're on the bus.
However, parking your car here is a huge hassle. On weekdays you need to be parked before 7:00 a.m. or you won't find a spot in any of the four lots.
The northeast lot is the first one to fill up and the only one where you have a high likelihood of getting a seat on the bus. However, if you're unlucky and have to park in the southwest lot, there is no sidewalk to cross over to the northeast lot and you have to dangerously walk on the median on the GSP overpass.
All lots are accessible with ramps, but ramps are not well lit
Adding an EV charging station would make it much better for people with electric vehicles.

Tolls never work and I'm always getting fined they need people to work there for change it's ridiculous they change signs whenever they feel like time to start using another road Is continuation still getting beat by the Parkway And still receiving tickets in the mail

Safe location. Easy highway access. Small area, early birds gets a spot.

I went to pick up my daughter and at 8 PM parking lot is almost empty. Was able to wait by the bus stop so she wouldn't have to walk far to get to my car. The cut through at the exit ramp is extremely helpful.

If you live close by, this is the best place to commute into Manhattan. If you get there a little before 7AM, you are almost guaranteed a parking spot! The buses are always full of polite professionals.

I enjoyed my visit and was able to complete quite a few errands. Has parking both handicap accessible and regular parking.

Great place to park to catch a quick ride to Port Authority Bus Terminal (165 bus line) in the early morning hours. I use this area for my daily NYC commute, parking is usually available up to 6:45 on weekdays at one of the four lots; ~45 minutes to the city from here using the exclusive bus lane during peak hours.
