Terrific place to railfan to see trains. Also, a terrific place to used public transportation including hoping on the Marc train.

GREAT spot to railfan, especially if you live in Central Maryland. Guaranteed train if you go.

Beautiful

Great place to take people who love trains and history. Great for kids as well. Station is not open to the public but you can walk around outside on the platform. Mostly empty on weekdays. CSX and Amtrak trains roll through pretty regularly. There is a small but clean restroom further up with some covered picknick tables and benches. Lots of free parking.

Ample parking space for free.

Great place to snag some pictures of the trains coming through

Point of Rocks MARC Train Station in Point of Rocks, Maryland is a historic train station that was built by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1873. The 2-1/2 storey Gothic Revival brick building directly faces the Potomac River and the C&O Canal.
The station is no longer open to the public, but platforms were built for the commuters that take MARC Brunswick Line and Amtrak passengers from Martinsburg, West Virginia to Union Station in Washington, D.C.
There is ample free parking for the many commuters who use the station, mainly on weekdays.
