UNION STRAW

Had dinner here for the first time and really enjoyed my pork chop and the greens were cooked perfect(not too bitter/not too hard). When I’m back in the area, I will for sure dine here again. Oh, and the GF chocolate cake was pretty good☺️

Cute local place that feels family-run. Busy for brunch -- get a reservation. Tasty food and drinks, friendly and attentive staff. Open floorplan so loud, and small parking lot... but small prices to pay for a lovely meal.

The food was amazing and *nearly* cooked to perfection. The Eggs Benny actually was perfect. The steak was slightly overcooked, and the eggs were slightly undercooked, for the Steak and Eggs. The steak was ordered rare and served medium-rare. The eggs were ordered over-easy. However, the whites inside were pretty runny - not just the yolk... That being stated, we're not picky enough for either of these qualities to deter us from digging in, and enjoying the tasty goodness for what it was!

Service was friendly and as fast as could be expected considering how busy it was when we dined. We made a reservation ahead of time, so we didn't have to wait to be seated.

We ordered the virgin option of their signature Bloody Mary, and were not disappointed. It hit the spot both in flavor and tang. A perfect breakfast enhancement.

Truly my only bit of constructive feedback or 'criticism' would be that there seems to be a marked imbalance of alcohol-free options to enhance the dining experience. I didn't see any offered on the main menu, nor was there a section on the substantial beer/wine/specialty beverage menu. I expected to see some sort of specialty coffee/espresso machine somewhere along the vast length of the bar, but didn't, nor were there any juices or carbonated beverages offered. It would be nice to be able to see what else is available at breakfast time aside from alcohol or a simple coffee.

All in all it's just feedback, and not worth reducing the overall score down from 5 stars. I'd definitely eat there again and would refer others there as well. Great experience.

Absolutely loved this place! Went here for the first time with my husband and baby and everything was 5 stars! We got the chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and the cinnamon roll! Highly recommend all three.

Union Straw is an amazing restaurant with great staff and kitchen! I visited here with some friends during my trip back home during the holidays. The interior of the restaurant looked really nice and the place was clean.

We enjoyed the smokehouse flatbread, house salad, and the grilled cheese with tomato soup. All the food we had was really good. I personally thought the smokehouse flatbread was the best.

I definitely will come back to try more next time I’m back in the RI/Mass area!

Consistency matters. I was in the mood for the same spicy bloody mary I had twice previously. But this time, it was underwhelming. Not even an olive. No spicy rim. The fried cheese curd and corn chowder are exceptional. They certainly skimped on the apple sauce. We asked for more,  but were brought more spicy sauce which we had plenty.  While my fault,  I left my doggy bag on the table.  It's a long walk to through the restaurant to the car.  When I was a waiter, I made the effort to catch the guests.  No attempt here.  The place was virtually empty with waitstaff standing around chatting.  Great food.  Just disappointed in this visit from the bar to the kitchen to the waitstaff.  You can do better at 3 pm on a Saturday. Note: originally sent this feedback directly to restaurant with no reply 4 days later.

First timers @ Union Straw but that will quickly change. The service was ON-POINT & the food was exceptional! We had the pleasure of having Brandon as our bartender - #wickedfriendly & knowledgeable. Highly suggest the Honey Buffalo Wings & the Maple Bourbon Burger... Crab Rangoon Flatbread - I'M COMING FOR YOUR NEXT!
