One star because they shoulda never tore Ebbets Field down. They shoulda kept it and the Mets coulda played there. Then they could've redeveloped the surrounding area into a nice ballpark village

I suspect most of the people who live near here fahgeddaboudit.

Nice people in the neighborhood. Hard to believe this neighborhood once was the home of the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers for 44 years. 66 years have now passed since the Brooklyn Dodgers played their last game here. Even though I was not yet born when they left in 1957, having visited the spot where their ballpark was I feel a sense of nostalgia and loss. There needs to be a better monument on this spot befitting what the Dodgers meant to this community, even though most of the people who rooted for “Dem Bums” are now gone. Jackie Robinson opened the door to MLB for African American ball players on this spot so it is indeed hallowed ground.

Former home of the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Site with historic value for baseball fans and those of interested in NYC history. Unfortunately, I didn't see markers or plaques except for one that was partially covered by a bush.

People were friendly and guided us to where to find the plaques. Wish there was a better historical recognition for the awesome history Ebbets field had. City of Brooklyn, get with it!

A fun Scavenger hunt to find the historic home plate of where Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier. Ebbetts is just letters on brick wall so anti climactic.
